Huge deal signed with F1, a new venue and track being built in (near) Austin and the deal is for 2012 - 2021.

    hey, I hope it does..........but a buddy and I were just talking about the sorry state of the Indy 500....it's next week and you would hardly know it. I remember, back in the day.......

    I am positive it will sell out. The attitude towards F1 in the US was similar back when Indianapolis was the host and it always sold out. Look at the '06 debacle (6 out of 18 cars competed due to unsafe tires) - that was a disaster, and ticket sales weren't really affected the next year anyway. Not to mention the massive influx of fans that will hit Austin along with the race to buy up tix.

    in 1994, open wheel racing was growing until mommas boy decided to take his toys (indy) and not let anyone else play with it unless they played by his dumbshit rules
