so now it's Tuesday, and i still can't really get a grip on things. my head is in a fog. at least i got my voice back this morning. this tour was different and i just can't let go of the msg shows.........
I've still got a monster cold... I think today will be the day the scales tip though and I start feeling better. Throat wasnt so raw this morning although my head feels more stuffed up.

No problems after MSG.....but we should have been quarantined after Philly last year. I almost died. Seriously. I don't know what the hell happened, but alot of people got sick.
90 shows and counting...some of my favs: Randall's Island night 2, Milwaukee '95 night 2, Hawaii '06, St Johns '05, PJ20!
i can't believe i didn't get sick...between flights with recirculated air and staying out drinking till 5 in the morning, i would have thought i'd caught something...my voice is probably at about 15%...thanks new york!
I'm in the same boat Norm. It was nice to finally meet you!!! MSG was The Best!!!

i tried to come down with something after friday night.. but my body was so distraught after the philly shows flu im pretty sure nothing can take me down cold/flu wise at this point
Weird that so many of you got sick after these shows. Especially when it's not really flu season, or least in my mind.
I remember seeing a thread like this after the Philly shows. I didn't catch anything after those shows. BUT, I got sick before the only show I was going to on this tour. Apparently it was a lymes disease flare up and not a cold or the flu. In fact, it was so bad I had to skip it. Still kinda pissed.
Hope you all get well soon. But, I'm sure it was well worth it.
wow. im glad im not the only one. i have been wondering what the hell is wrong with me for the last couple days. since i got back from ny i have been really down. i have a headache that wont quit. a sore throat. i have no energy to do anything, and that sucks cuz i work a very physical job and just cant get going last couple days. hope we all get better soon.
Same here I never call out of work never. It started Mid-day Sunday until now. I got the works ....sore throat, stuffy nose, lightheaded, fever. Finally slowly clearing up.
Plus I have pearl jam depression :(
I definitely picked up some type of bug from MSG,probably from sharing weed with people around my seats not a smart thing to do but got caught up in the moment, it was worth it

My guess with regard to Philly is that someone in the box office was sick. Either that, or the pens we used to sign for our tickets were contaminated. Combine that with the peak of the H1N1 outbreak and lots of immune systems compromised by too little sleep and too much partying, and you have trouble. My husband and I went with our kids, so we were doing no drinking/partying, and all four of us got really sick in Philly.
I've heard that H1N1 made something of a comeback this spring, so it could be that those of you who were not knocked out in Philly caught it this time after a week of carousing in the Northeast. Feel better!
All those who seek to destroy the liberties of a democratic nation ought to know that war is the surest and shortest means to accomplish it.
Add another to the list. Although I'm sure partying my face off at the shows on Thursday and Friday combined with a 5am strip club night on Thursday followed by a mysterious 5:30am pizza receipt from Friday night, and a late night hitting the bars in Brooklyn Saturday probably didn't help my cause.
this is too funny. I started feeling like crap on Sunday but I thought it was from being old and tired after going to 3 shows in a week. By Monday I couldn't even get out of bed. Sore throat, fever, aches and pains. I missed 2 days of work and was still dragging today. I know it looked bad too, right after taking vacation days. Ugh.
So sick. And I never get sick. This thread is hillarious.
Drove 15 hours to see 5 shows...started with a fever and sore throat the night before MSG1. I was worried I'd have to miss it...but to be quite honest, I would have to have been near death. It's going on a week now, and I can't go three seconds without coughing or sneezing or wanting to die. lol.

Worth it. 2 of the best concerts I've ever seen.
Shows were worth it, although being miserable for 5 days now is not too fun. BOO to sickness!
