Have a job interview tomorrow, have 2 in fact. I am anxious, and sort of spinning out of control in my head. I have knots in my stomach. I need to calm down.

What music should i listen to tonight to put my mind at ease and quiet the voices in my head so to speak?

Scale the Summit isn't EXACTLY relaxing, but it's instrumental, and they have some really pretty melodies.

The second half of this song is great to chill to.

You should just tune into your local classical music station.

I was going to suggest he listen to some jazz but there doesn't seem to be too many jazz fans around here. Mr. Miles Davis is great calming music, for me anyway.

Us jazz fans are around if you look hard enough.

The best chill Miles album = In A Silent Way

It's perfect on a rainy Sunday morning.

I can't believe nobody has suggested Radiohead's In Rainbows. Tracks 3 through the end. Bliss.

I was about to reply that the first two songs might be a little too intense, but I missed your comment about starting on track three!

    But yes, that would work.

I always found Talk Talk's latter-day records to be very relaxing. Spirit of Eden and Laughing Stock would be perfect. Sort of the beginnings of post-rock; just great records to immerse yourself in.
