The "ebay lady" from 40 year old virgin is Catherine Keener. I believe Unthought Known was written after a conversation that Ed had with her.

Are all these people in the VIP seats....or intermingled through the crowd? For example...Hyde from That 70s Show...where was he sitting? I just want to know what standard of celebrity is in Pearl Jam's VIP section.

I met Mark Sanchez at will call on night two. i went to shake his hand and he gave me a pound instead. And wouldn't take a picture so I could show my Jets fan friend I was waiting for.

I have a 10C # of 160 and got the most fantastic seats in sec 64 (Stone's side). Right in front of me was Michael Moore (who i had to ask to pick up my wife's sunglasses she dropped in the row), Matt Damon, Catherine Keener, John McEnroe and Tom Tomorrow (Dan). I think Moore was with Dan cause the sticker on his seat indicated it was reserved for Dan P (4 seats total). In the section adjacent were both Olsen's. I didn't catch Sanchez, but at that point, I was rockin out and I just didn't really care.

    Matt Damon from my seat...

a few years ago, someone from 10 Club, don't remember who, posted that Hyde (Danny Masterson) was actually a member of the 10 Club, who bought tickets the same way we do, and that he had a great number. He never used his celebrity status to garner VIP tickets. I can't say if that is still true, this was probably 2003 or so

me and my buddy from work saw Demetri Martin from important things walking down 20th street on thursday. this was around 7:10 pm.
Ron: I just don't feel like going out tonight
    Sammi: Wanna just break up?

  • cool, I just watched an "Important Things" I'd had on my Tivo for a few months. Love that show
  • Mark Sanchez gave me the Heisman when I asked for the photo walking out after the show too.... totally ignored me when I said I came from Cali for the show AND that my friend went to USC(ALL TRUE).... THEN, he sent his brother back to apologize to me AFTER i started giving him shit for blowing us off.... as a longtime Jets season ticket holder, getting Heismaned by the Sanchise sucked!...

Annoying amount of empty seats left in those sections on both sides...does a sticker mean it's reserved for someone specific? Cause I bet someone in the 400 level would be happy to show up to bottom level side stage for at least part of the show.

I was about five seats to your left......I took way more photos of Mr. Moore and Mr. Damon talking than I remember.....HOWEVER....I did touch an Olsen twin...I tried to poach their billion dollar row and got kicked out right away....but stood next to one for a second...ahahahahah....AND, after the show, Damon's entourage made a b-line for the stage, so my buddy and I followed....we got wedged in behind Matt (who literally looked over his shoulder and laughed at us standing there) and in front of Jill...she looked at me with a funny hmmmm and smirked.....so, all the group got through...then Michael Moore came solo and stood next to us..he got through, then someone asked if we were good to go, and the main guy said, "oh god no..." (I made that last part up, but he may have anyway)

Hey, who can say they stood next to an Olsen twin, told Michael Moore that they'd jump on a grenade for him, told Tom Tomorrow that I loved his work, and got cockblocked from going backstage by Matt Damon.....we can....and we didn't really miss any of the show...other than my one bline for the Olsen line....

You should have asked him about the rape charge that dissappeared and tried to get a pic with Jamie Lynn......I hate USC and all of those guys. He'll fall on his face soon enough......

I was thinking same thing, take some people from the 400's and stick them down there.

Night one the VIP sections were half full and everyone was sitting, Night Two was better.
  • For those who saw Catherine Keener...her connection is that she was IN Into the Wild. She played the Hippe wife.

She did quick spot on PJ radio too (like saying the show was really good or something). I heard it twice today.

Mark-Paul Gosselaar aka Zack Morris from Saved By The Bell was on Mike's side... I didn't see him during the show, but a friend pointed him out afterward talking to friends waiting for the traffic to clear. My other friend went and talked to him and took his pic... she was a bit obnoxious about it too

    "MAHHHHHHHK!!!!"

**edit** this was night 1 at MSG

Since people are talking about Sanchez here, I thought I would share my personal Mark Sanchez experience. Me and my brother showed up around 3 and frantically tried to get tickets for nearly 6 hours. I got offered a decent single for $170 around 7:15 but I didn't want to get in without my brother so I decided to wait for an offer closer to face and to see if he got in. 5 minutes before the band took the stage my brother got a ticket, and I started to regret letting the single go, but with all the trouble second-hand buyers had been having with counterfeits, and knowing that true fans wouldn't try to make money off me, I thought I still had a shot. At almost exactly 10 of 9, Mark Sanchez, who had been in the box office for nearly an hour trying to sort out tickets for his posse and making phone calls to see if anyone else was coming, asked me--with some disbelief, as I had been circling around the box office and practically screaming at people asking if they had an extra--if I still needed one. I told him I did, and I waited patiently with my new friend Jodi, who I had met just hours before and who had been asking me for tips in getting a ticket, as if anything I had done was working. When others saw what was happening and started crowding around and pleading for tickets, Mark told everyone to chill out and told them that if he had any extras, me and Jodi would get them first because we had been waiting all night and then he would see what he could do. After getting all his friends in, he did indeed have enough extras for everyone waiting, and his brother passed them out and collected $80 apiece. I have never felt so lucky or happy simply to be in a building. I sprinted in during Hail Hail and I sat amongst some very cool fans who had all gotten in the same way, although I was definitely the biggest diehard in the section. The seats were excellent, and when I saw the Olsen twins exit during Ledbetter, I went on a rant to the person next to me about celebrities getting stupid VIP treatment and not even showing up on time or staying for the whole show. Near the end I stopped myself and said to the guy: "I shouldn't complain about this, I got a ticket from Mark Sanchez!" He yelled, "That's what I'm talking about!" and gave me a huge high five. Friday night was the most rewarding Pearl Jam experience of my life.

    Sorry that was long.
