Hated it when Lost Dogs was first released, but now I dig it. I think I wrote it off too early and never listened to it until hearing it in Philly last year. After that I found a new appreciation for the song and listen to it more often.
I like Ed's basketball dribbling as percussion. From behind the stage I could see Jeff's Knicks jersey getting put back on a hanger and folded up (leave it to boys to fold something on a hanger) and I'd like to think Jeff travels with a trunk of jerseys from the cities they're playing, to be worn only if they decide to play Sweet Lew that night.
It seems to have it's followers but to me it's one the most limp wristed rarities in PJ's catalogue. Maybe seeing it live might be better but even on the Philly boot I wasn't that impressed. Would much rather hear Leatherman, U, Fatal or Strangest Tribe any day.

Its not high art, or their most melodic tune, but its a lot of fun, having Jeff sing, and Ed getting his inner basketball player on. It was a real surprise - saw it in Philly, never expected to see it again, glad we got it!

I think its a fun song. Dont mind it at all. i think its pretty funny when Vedder dribbles the basketball on stage when they play it live.
