    I don't buy it.

Jeff totally seems like the kind of guy that grabs other men's balls, then runs away.
  • Do people really not know that the Jeff Ament stole my basketball thread came from the Win Butler stole my basketball blog/Cal practice gym incident.

I didn't think so based on the original thread, but I could be wrong.

Well the Jeff Ament thread came out a couple days after the Win incident, also that was posted all over the interweb. So either this guy had a totally original idea and never looked at the internet or is a clever biter.

The funniest part were the people posting, "No way. I've met Jeff and he one of the nicest guys I've met". "No way he said something like that"

My dogs and I were at the park yesterday, I was kicking a soccer ball to them for about a half hour, when out of nowhere, I get clocked with a bass, when I woke up my dogs and soccer ball were gone... it had to be Jeff, why does he always have to take what isn't his?
  • Yeah, it was a word-by-word copy of the Win Butler post (except for "I'm in Pearl Jam, bitch", obviously) which apparently did happen.
I was surprised most people didn't catch it right away, considering how famous the story had gotten around that time.
Two things spawned out of that story that amused me greatly:
    - the "Jeff Ament facts" thread (and subsequent "Stone Gossard facts" thread)
    - and that JamilyMan guy who was accusing me of being a liar who really wanted to get a basketball from the band (?). A couple months later he was asking people to mail him free stuff.

    Ah, good times, good times.
  • I have doodles of a shirt that says "I'm in Pearl Jam...Bitch!" and shows a basketball court but no basketball. I started doing them after I read the original thread like 4 months ago. I thought it was hilarious. Never got around to printing the shirt though.
    Shows:
    San Diego 2003
    Grand Rapids 2004
    Grand Rapids 2006
    Detroit 2006
    Columbus 2010
