I have volume 18. What are the REALLY good ones. I will ebay them. Vol. 18 is my first exposure. I LOVE what I hear.

My buddy is good friends with guy who took over for Dick when he passed away. He hooked me up with a sample. The first one is free. :D I want more.

Any suggestions?

    Just checked, I have 11, 12, 19, 21, 23 and 24. I'll have to look back where those were, but excellent stuff regardless. However, what I primarily listen to is To Terrapin: Hartford '77 and Dead Set. Dead Set to me is the essence of the Grateful Dead.

    cool, great to know....i will buy those two that were recommended above.

    i also have a pittsburgh 1990 three rivers stadium show, not a dicks pick but a vault something or other...and a jerry garcia band live bootleg....

    like I said, just getting into this stuff, finding out what its all about...

    i looked it up and vol 4 is from the fillmore east the year after what i'm talking about.

    I feel the new road trips are better than the dicks picks, seems they got the sound quality better for them

    #6 was the first I bought, and still one of my favorites. The Scarlet --> Fire transition is a must hear.
