Wow, I was first surprised I was going to hear Immortality, but secondly I was absolutely FLOORED by the whole performance. It was dark, bluesy, and beuatiful. There were points during Mike's solo I closed my eyes, and literally I felt as if I was somewhere else.

Not the whole song..

It is definitely one song that every PJ should experience.... it's amazing.

Kansas City 2003 I believe. I love that song. My favorite is the 1995 MWR broadcast. Mike's solo is flat out sick!! I have been addicted to that delay/distortion sound ever since.

just saw that one at Newark. unbelievable! i thought the set list was unbeleivable at Newark however the crowd really sucked compared to Boston. High energy performance with little reciprocation from the crowd... :?

I've gotten it twice now and it is awesome. I still can't believe they played it right before Porch in Hartford 08. Mike must have been exhausted going into that 1st encore.

Easily one of their best live songs!

My first time seeing it was at Alpine '03.
Still one of my favorite versions.

I wish Mike would mix it up more in the immortality solo. The solo has such great power and is such a central part in the song, it really is the highlight to me. In the recent years, I think mike has done well, but I think he fails to give the solo the same touch of greatness as he used to.

    Here is an example:
Soldier fields 1995 (solo at 2:22)

London 2009 (solo begins at 2:10)

I love the song, one of pj's finest moments in the studio.

Isn't that case for pretty much every aspect of the band.
I love PJ and they put on a hell of a show, but they much prefer to play it safe then really experiment and "feel it", like they used to..,which is really sad.
