Ok so i have a few things i would like to say/ask in this forum about last night's show, however, rather than create a bunch of threads, i thought i'd add it into this one...
ok topic one...
I know the seat allocation for this show was slightly skewed due to previous 10c ticket holders being locked out of the presale for two hours and other minutiae like that, but my tickets were pretty damn good. i'm a 425XXX and i got on the floor. section F row 2 seats 3-4 and because i was at the intersection of aisles towards the middle, i had great visibility...however, given my number i doubt i'd ever get seats as good as that at most other venues in the tri-state area (other than the lottery), or am i wrong? if you count all the rows from the front sections it was row 27 (plus the aisle in front of me.) so was that a rare seat allotment that i should consider myself lucky? as of now i'm stoked that i got those seats.
topic two...
What was going on in the aisle between section E and F towards the front of those sections during the second encore break? i know it's probably none of my business, but as the issue was being resolved a flock of security guards were blocking my view of the stage (since the issue ended up taking up the first song or two of the 3rd set) so that's why the question came up. If the issues are too personal you don't have to share, i was just curious is all.
Topic three...
over all i thought the concert rocked...it was the only concert i'm going to this tour, and i know Hartford and Boston killed. so to those who were at those shows, i know this show was somewhat of a disappointment. i don't know if it was just because this was my first time on the floor or not, but i thought this show was a pretty high caliber show.

I've been trying to figure this out myself (to no avail). My seats the last two shows I went to (hartford and newark) were remarkably similar - 4th row on Stone's side and 3rd row Mike's side respectively. I'm 192XXX and my last two 10C shows were Philly #4 '09 and MSG2 '08, and both of those I was halfway back on the floor, both times right side. I genuinely preferred the seats the last two nights much much more, and consider them more favorable.
That all said I imagine the allotment has to do with closeness to the stage, with the highest seniority obviously being the first floor section, followed by the best side view seated sections, and then lastly the least senior 10C #'s get the back floor seats and "lower bowl" seats for the middle and back of whatever venue it is. For amphitheaters this is a lot more straightforward I'd imagine - lowest #'s down front/center, everyone else scattered along the sides gradually moving outwards.
I have no proof of any of this, it just happens to be what makes sense to me considering my seats keep improving as 10C membership likely grows. Every person that has joined since like 1998/9 following me has helped to give me seniority and - in theory - continuously improving seats.
