    you are just realizing this now? if you are a bachelor this is a staple... i wish i was a bachelor :cry: thats a different story all together... anyway try pulled pork! a pork butt roast, season it, throw it on low for 9 hours, pull it apart with forks and bbq sauce and enjoy!

    i use pork loin and i've made that alot, it's very easy!

    here is my problem....i have too many power outages to do that while i'm away. even if it is a 2 second power outage, i do not know how my modern crock pot would react, would it reboot or would it stay turned off? some of our power outages are 3 hours unfortunately. i'm afraid the food would go bad. it happens too much :(

    the thing with pork loin in its far too good of a cut! you don't need a nice cut like that, also your crock pot would likely shut off

    i used some chuck roast today .... some onions, tomatoes, green pepper, green beans ( fresh ) , potatoes, roasted garlic, tomato sauce, oregano, salt, pepper, and covered with water ..... 10 hours..... instant dinner

    We use ours a few times a week.....tri-tip or Brisket comes out very nice, as do chicken breasts. I usually throw the meat in the broiler for the final 10 minutes......really crusts-on the bbq sauce!

    I love the ease!
