I wonder if Bonnaroo will be released as a Pearl Jam boot this year. Any thoughts?

Bonnaroo sells recordings of some shows each year. You can still get recordings from the past 4 Roos here:

I assume they will have some shows available again after this year's fest, but don't know if Pearl Jam's set will be one of them.

My guess would be no. Other than the top 40 set they will probably play, this is one of the main reasons I never considered going. I don't feel like tracking down the boot.

Reminds me of PNC park when they opened for the stones. Crappy top 40 set, and months of searching for the boot. The boot I did find is a pretty bad tape, and the setlist blows. At least it completed my collection, even if I never listen to it!

Holy Debbie Downer. I've been to Roo, and the vibe is definitely not a top 40. I think this is going to be one special show and I'm looking forward to hearing the set.

I hope I'm right and you are pleasantly surprised!

Man I'll be really disappointed without a good quality recording of the show. I'd be willing to spend some money on a small recorder if there really isn't going to be a boot. However, I really hope there is a boot.

    This.

And there will be a recording of this show, if the band doesn't release it, Bonnaroo will. The people that run 'Roo are real music fans and they know what music fans want. And they also know that PJ fans love their bootlegs and if they can sell one they will be all over it.

if it get's webcasted, audio will be sweet. if official bootleg cd get's released, audio will be even sweeter. aswell, if an audience recording comes in .. even more sweetness! :)

let's just hope for alot of sweet's!!
