Man, I didn't even know about this until it was too late. Oh well.
And before I knew it was too late I was hoping against hope it'd still be going by Friday. Boy, I have a lot to learn about you poster addicts!
If it makes you feel any better, it was too late about 5 minutes after the email went out... I missed it by about 20 so I didn't feel AS bad as I normally would.
Although knowing most of the orders are multiples stings quite a bit. Quite a bit. Actually, a lot. More than a lot. You get the idea...
Ya I am sure everyone on here is "sugercoat"ing things. It's not that they actually appreciate what is being done and helping the fans out. If you are bitter for missing out on a sale or something just let it go, it happens - I missed this one and have been shut out a bunch of times.
People like you state your opinions to get a reaction from people so I will leave it at that.
Actually, I didn't miss out on this one, but it's not surprising that most did. I'm stating an opinion because it is a fact. Everyone on this board knows that Klausen's Pearl Jam posters sell like hotcakes. Are you telling me that it's normal for a person running a business with a quality product to not only cut the price in half but then to give 2 for one??? He doesn't realize that he could get $40/poster...for just one??? Seriously? If that's not an example of bad business, I don't know what is.
I'm not looking for a reaction. I'm just telling it like it is...and I'll leave it at that...
You come off as a real prick. I have never had a bad experience in dealing with Brad. We have all missed out on prints that we wanted or have been there waiting for hours when his site crashed but he always tried to do best for his customers. Why do you insist on posting in every thread about him if you hate him so much? He doesn't owe you anything. If you have ordered something from him in the past and he did not send you the print that you paid for then that's one thing. But if you missed out on a sale or are mad that a sale occured while you were sleeping, get over it.
I didn't miss...lol...like I said, just telling it like it is...
Sorry, the truth hurts sometimes. If I'm a prick, then I'm a prick. I love how everyone thinks I missed out on something or thinks that I think Brad owes me something. I don't think he owes me anything...lol...
Like I said, his posters and artwork is awesome and I have most of it. His business practices are what is in question in my opinion and from what I've heard from a lot of different people.
im waiting for raound two...i have faith that brad will cancel the multiple orders and do a second round....however, i managed to grab a great print on the last sale so im happy either way!
dont know what all the fuss is about though....it was for Scratch and Dent...relax....(even though they will all be on ebay soon, being sold as mint, and fetch a bunch of money for someone other than the artist, at least the honolulu ones will)

Maybe, it's because the posters have flaws. This is why it's called a "Scratch & Dent" mystery sale.
Probably pretty good business practice by Brad... His site would have crashed for sure if he had made the same announcement and said the sale starts Saturday at noon pacific because all of us sheep would have been there clicking F5 at 11:50... So the "sneak attack" sale works better and the lucky ones who happen to be on line get the first dibs...

oh yeah..i saw your sig...i was in the front row for Mansfield II also..about 10 people to the right of Lou.
i got through on this, just got lucky and checked my e-mail at the right time. Kinda weird for Brad to do a sale during the day isn't it? He usually does them at like 2-4am.
Hopefully I get a purple vic, been after that for a while...
Wouldn't it be funny if the world ended in 2010, with lots of fire?

These are imperfect posters whether it be scratch and dent or problems with the printing. He probably sees them as worthless since they are not how he intended them to be. Is it really bad business to at least get $10 for prints that would otherwise be trashed? If he was greedy he could have charged $40 each. $10 each is a fair price and by putting 2 per tube it makes it worth the time and effort to pack them.
Like I said, his posters and artwork is awesome and I have most of it. His business practices are what is in question in my opinion and from what I've heard from a lot of different people.
If you never had a problem in dealing with him how could you question his business practices? You are acting like he employs children and pays them $.05 per day to print and pack his posters. He is fairly new to the game and I'm sure the he would be the first one to tell you that he is still learning the business.
I would like to know who these "different people" are and what their story is.
I am no fanboy however I enjoy his work and have always had good experiences in dealing with him. Your comments could not be more inaccurate.
Now shouldn't you get back to working on Pearl Jam vs Ames Brothers volume 2?
DAM!! are we going to bicker & bitch about this shit all week?
fuck it...they are gone...i/you am/are pissed..let's leave it at that!
Brad doesn't need anyone to "defend his honor" and on the flip side..if you wanna bitch about his business practices then don't fucking buy posters from him!! period..end of fucking story!!
now break it up and go home before i have to start hauling asses to the station...signed the PJ police.
I've never had any luck getting anything from BK's sales and so with this sale, my streak is still in full effect. I don't really care though. I already have all the posters I really want.

First of all, I like Klausen's work much better than Ames, that was never in question. He's actually one of the better guys out there!! No doubt.
With this issue, I feel he could've limited the sale to one poster per tube and one per person and given more people the opportunity to buy one. It's not that I did or didn't get one, I mean look at how many people just in this thread alone that didn't get one...
" oh no i had to work all day today i didnt get an email nore did i get home in time for the sale"...LET ME BITCH FOR THE NEXT FEW DAYS....
all joking aside. I dont think he realizes what he did... i use to collect baseball cards... we all know about "error" cards or misprints or the word "fuckface" on the bottom of ones bat.. they now become one of a kind.. they stand out from the other cards.. ..if you ask me these are worth ALOT MORE THEN THE A/P..now your goin to get a A/P that is not so perfect..something went wrong during the printing. he thinks its a fucked up.. i think not. its worth double or not tripple the org. price..thats how baseball cards work...its the ones that stand out that are getting the high$$$$$4.... heres one for you. Go look up Honus Wagner... do a lil goggle search and see why this simple little card from 1909 is the "holy grail" of ALL COLLECTABLES. ........its has a value of about $2,800,000 aka 2.8 milliom clams

I doubt that BK will cancel any orders - of course that is assuming there are none or very few orders of 10+ tubes. Either way, I'm happy with my 1, hoping for a Honolulu!!!!
bK sent an email about refunds for orders over 2 tubes on the S&D sale:
Due to the fact that i greatly and foolishly under-estimated the interest in the recent dent and scratch mystery tube sale, and realizing i should have placed a limit on the amount of tubes one could order, I am going back and refunding any orders that purchased more then 2 mystery tubes. If you are receiving this email then you ordered more than two and have since been refunded for however many you purchased over 2.
Brad
now, it's just a question of when bK will sell the remaining tubes,...

there should ALWAYS be a limit of 2 or 1 per customer....
now we just wait and see when brad thows the rest of em up....
