Dennis Lehane is probably my favorite author and the Given Day my favorite book.
Does anyone subscribe to IMDBpro? Do you know the release date/actors/any detail?

(p.s the Bawston show is tonight which is why I thought of this thread)

    I'm halfway through that book, it is taking me FOREVER (though it is excellent so far).

    My buddy works for HarperCollins (his publisher) - I'll ask him if he knows anything.

    it's a pretty dense book but a page turner if you have the time.

    Love Dennis Lehane. He writes Bostonians so well, at least in my opinion.

    I'd love to check this new one out.

    OK, so the friend that works at Lehane's publisher doesn't have any information other than who the director will be, which I'm sure you already know (Sam Raimi - he did the three Spiderman films) and that Sony is putting it out/owns the rights. To his knowledge there have been no casting decisions made or even a screenplay to date.

    Thanks for the update!!

    I thought I had read them all - the Kenzie series and shutter island... awesome, so as soon I finish Stephen King's "The Dome" I will look for "The Given Day"!!
