you probably should check the schedules to make sure everything lines up ok. I don't think there is anything worse than missing the last LIRR train out of penn and having to wait like 2 and a half hours for the next one.

Here's the schedule for NJ Transit (not Path) at $5 each way. When you're in Penn Station (NYC), look at the departure boards for the time and branch (first time listed and then "NEC" for North East Corridor or "NJCL" for New Jersey Coast Line)... that'll tell you the track to get to. Second time listed is time of arrival at Newark Penn and duration of trip. Reverse schedule in next post.

well it ain't gonna make much difference one way or another, is it? hahahaha. i plan on high-tailing it outta newark and on my way, but if i miss my train i miss my train. there's not another train to my town until 7:39 AM the next morning. :shock: of course, there are loads of trains on the mainline, next town over.....but i'd then have to waste a few bucks on a cab. c'est la vie. i just know i will need my SLEEP. so that's my biggest concern.

Path is not 24/7 on all lines. I think it only goes to WTC after 11pm
na when i went from port i took nj transit rail..pretty much the same thing as going from newyork penn thats y im asking...i believe the last time i went i went from ny penn but the times before that was 2 years ago and i dont recall but i could have swore i took port

is going by ny penn better then doing port authority i believe ive done port everytime ive gone there
From Port Authority, you're taking the bus? Seems like a hassle with traffic and all. I take the NJ Transit train to/from Penn Station. I believe the trip is longer on the Path trains and you have to transfer to a second train to get to 33rd Street and 6th Avenue. For the transfer to Long Island it's better to take the trains I listed directly into Penn Station.

we have space for 2 in the car. driver is just a little anal about having people chip in a couple of bucks for tolls. we'll drop you off by grand central station. sorry, no door to door. plan on leaving within 15-20 minutes of show's end.

shows you where my head is at... after driving to and from bristow, hartford and boston i'm expecting to hit 16 tolls on the way home.
thank the lord that the next 3 shows are local. i'll have my jumping legs for the rest of the tour!
