Dear Gentlemen of Pearl Jam,
My name is Matthew. For the past 10 years I have been running a website called gremmie.net. It’s a Pearl Jam centric site focused on delivering hard to find and out-of-print Pearl Jam music to fans. The “about us” on the site is described as such:
Anyway, it may come as no surprise that I am a huge fan of the song Gremmie Outta Control. I first picked a copy of Music for Our Mother Ocean Vol. 1 as a Sophomore in high school because, like any hard-core fan, I had to hear everything you guys were doing. Now, it may seem a bit kooky to be such a big fan of what most people would dub an “oddball” song, but I think it’s a great way to show some levity amongst a set of songs otherwise earnest songs.
So please. Pretty please. Pretty please with a cherry, gumdrop, and coconut shavings on top. Please play Gremmie Outta Control at MSG. Either show is fine; I got lucky and managed to draw tickets for both.
p.s. Don’t worry; I spoke to Johnny Ramone in a dream last night. He said it was ok.

gremmie.net was developed for the purpose of bringing hard to find and out of print pearl jam to the fan community. the non-album catalogue has grown substantially since pearl jam first began playing in 1990. it’s been in our experience that, over the years, things go missing. maybe you lost the burned cd that had the “poor girl [demo]” mp3 on it you found while prowling Napster. perhaps that live version of “lukin” (labeled as “100 pacer”) from the australia show in 95 vanished when your girlfriend dumped you for saying ‘you’d marry eddie vedder before her’. whatever the reason, you can find it here.
