No band Rocks like Pearl Jam live!!! The Civic Center was absoultly electric!! Thanks for a Dynamite Night boys!!

Someone outside the venue tonight told me this was "1000x what Buffalo was".

  • Such a great show.

Opening with Unthought Known was a stroke of genius.

Couldn't believe the Van Halen cover, then RIGHT into my favorite PJ song (Porch).

Then Indifference and Watchtower to close it out!?!?!?!?

    Wow...just...wow.

    Can't WAIT for Newark!!!

Lets just say from my 3 other visits to Hartford to see Pearl Jam all @ whats now called the Dodge Music Center. I was keeping Some high hopes that this show would be different from the other 3 Pearl Jam shows that I attended in the Hartford area. First off I would like to say that the local bars are very nice and a lot are withing walkin distance to the venue as well as your car and any number of garages around the Arena. Now as for the show it was AMAZING. Got somem pictures and meet some cool people. I thought it was great that Pearl Jam or the Venues were finally allowing poster tubes inside the arena only problme they cost 2 bux. But what the hell is 2 bux to keep your poster perfect for when you get out and You don't hae to wait in a line when the show is over to get your poster. One bad thing about how awesome the poster tubes are. My poster to tonights show was stloen right out of a bag with a couple of Pearl Jam T shirst a Key Chain and other memoranilia was all still there but the poster and tine were stolen. So to wh oever stole my poste thanks ya jerk. Oh and to the people who were standing behind me. There is no way in my mind you didnt see who took the poster unless infaxt it was you. Yur GF started to give off this very guilty vibe after I chatted with you and you whispered something in her ear. But Yea other that poster getting stolen. I got my self a shirt and my friend t owhom wasting going to any shows this year. No second boston show really messed things up. But she still managed to get a t-shirt. Man shes not even my GF and i will take pics of shirts and see which one she wants. Are there any single ladies out there? As i start to highjack the thread now. BUT YES THIS SHOW WAS AMAZING!!! The setlist doesnt just jump of the paper at you and just be like wham if you werent at that show you missed something special, Well the setlkist tonight wasnt entirely a special or very significant to the area, but of the now 24 Pearl Jam shows I have been to I would easily have it in the top 10. Mind you probbaly at 10. If i was to actually have to rate the shows though I think I would say 10 today,k ttomorow, or next week but in a month it could be down to 15 or a bit lower. But all in all a great show as the band seemed very tight on stage, like they were all having alot of fun. Can't wait until Boston and I get my fan club seats. Although thonight I was sitting next to and around 10 club members. I kinda felt bad for them necause well they were ecellent seats. But for the fan club ( at least for me I have been on it since 1998) and I usually get nothing worse than 20-25 (is the worst) rows back pretty consistantly.

Just got home back on Long Island, NY. WOW!

Such a great show! They took no prisoners tonight. After Unthought Known the band just launched into like 4-5 high energy cuts that knocked me on my ass. I was spent.

I came to around Low Light and finally got a breather. Nothingman was soooooo good.

A'int Talknin 'Bout Love? What? Seriously? And yeah, they killed it. Mike gets 10 gold stars.

I don't even know what else to type, my hands are shaking (oh yeah, they played I Got Id) and my ears are begging for mercy so I need some sleep. I can't wait to wake up and check the setlist and realize how stupid good this show was.

I honestly can't think of a single No Code, Binaural or Riot Act song being played. I must be mistaken though, that would be wierd if they skipped all those albums.

Oh well, I don't even care if they did. I'm deliriously happy right now. My bed is calling, crash time.

    P.S. Speed of Sound = A+++

Re: Speed of Sound. Easily my least favorite song from Backspacer. I didn't even copy it onto my phone when I loaded the album. But eff me if you aren't 100% right. It sounded freaking amazing tonight...

Completely agree about Speed of Sound. Didn't like it on the CD and didn't enjoy it at Philly 4, but it sounded great tonight. Still near the bottom for me PJ-wise, but that's just because there are so many other incredible choices.

Thank you Thank you Thank you for not laying The Dodge/Meadows. The whole band was laughing and smiling the whole night. Stone seemed like he was having the time of his life-laying on the floor w/ Mike, lots of smiles!!! And Jeff was laughing too. Really great vibe!!!

great show but did anyone feel Mike was not 100% lst night?

He just seemed very low key... even his even flow solo was subpar...

he seemed to come alive after SOLAT...but that ws well into the setlist..

and also, being on stones side, it was hard to hear Mike at times...i

YES! I thought the same thing. His guitar appeared to be turned way down on the Low Light and Severed Hand solos.

Seriously. Even a bad show by their standards is still worth every penny. They have such a great catalogue of songs and covers that every show is unique. I love that Pearl jam puts a lot of thought into the setlist. There are countless rock bands, even good ones like Tool, that play the same exact setlist for every show they do on tour. This band fucking cares about the fans.

Ive seen around 40 shows and there were very few that I left unhappy. Ive heard pretty much every song in their catalogue live. Not counting songs played once. The 3 I can think of off the top of my head that I need and want to hear are Dirty Frank, Brother & Black Red Yellow. I want to hear BRY in the worst way. And I wish they would start playing these songs: Strangest Tribe, Happy When Im Crying, Just A Girl, Other Side and Last Soldier (played once at the Bridge-great tune though). Anyway, after 40 shows, my excitement for seeing Pearl jam has yet to fade. I probably could have died very happy after the 4 Philly Shows, but here I am again doing all the Northeast shows. I love it. See ya in Boston tomorrow!

mike was on fire last night more then ever.

    not until mid-set...

i watched him all night and something was wrong...

guitar sound problems but also he low energy early on... EVEN Flow solo was very uninspired and he cut over to Mat and Stone very earlyy...

anyone who knows me knows I am all about Mike so I'm not bashing.. just concerned..

Once we got SOLT he appeared to rebound to his old self but this was highly unlike him..
