Hotels for this tour

I just booked a hotel down in Philly for the Camden shows, but I still need to find hotels for DC, and Massachusetts. I live in NYC, so no need for a hotel for the MSG shows.

My hotel in Philly will be Club Quarters.

Any hotel suggestions for DC, Mansfield? I'm also going to Hartford, but I am considering just driving up to Massachusetts after the show, and to find a place up there.

I'm heading out now to my travel agent to book my flight & hotel stays. I'm going alone on this trip. Will get some ideas on hotels in NYC, Hartford & Mansfield shortly! :)

there's a couple threads about this here and in given to fly. People have suggested staying off of 495 for mansfield, apparently there's a few hotels a few miles away.

By far the easiest to/from the venue in MA is right on I-495. The venue is at Exit 11/12. There is a Holiday Inn at Exit 9.

Club Quarters on Chestnut St. Looks like a pretty nice hotel. I got it through Priceline for $110 a night.

I stayed there in 2006. Decent hotel. The rooms are very small and cramped (becuase it is old) but clean. The area around the hotel is interesting.

Yeah, I heard the rooms are on the small side, but I don't mind. As long as it's clean and in a decent area, I'm happy. If the weather is nice, I'm sure I'll be outside exploring Philly most of the day, and at the shows at night. I'll have to find out how to get to that ferry, which supposedly takes you right to the venue in Camden.

Penn's Landing. You can walk there or hop a bus.

The ferry does drop you right at the venue. Best way to go. I would never try driving into Camden from Philly or trying to get a cab.

Thanks again! I'll most likely walk there, as long as it's relatively nice out. In 2006, I drove to Camden and the parking lot was loaded with broken beer bottles, etc. after the show. Plus, someone must've sat on the hood of my car and left a dent.

I'll have a lot more fun knowing my car is parked safely away from there.

Try the Hilton Garden Inn in downtown DC. It's across the street from a Metro station and not THAT far from the venue. I'm told you can walk it if you want to. If not, you can ride the Metro - there's a stop at the venue.

Thanks for the info. I'll definitely consider the Hilton Garden now.

Ok, I just used Priceline for hotels in DC. I made an offer of $90 for a 3 Star Hotel, and I wound up with the Phoenix Park Hotel, which seems very nice. It's also less than a mile from the Verizon Center, and near the historic sights. I'm pretty happy. :)

found a sweet hotel for the mansfield show. there were 2 places. there was a holiday inn & a red roof inn. both just a 7 minute drive to the place. it was tough finding a hotel close by from walking distance.

Just got the Double Tree downtown Philly on Priceline for $75/night.
  • As far as DC - there is a Red Roof Inn right at the Verizon Center.

Club Quarters is a nice hotel, we stayed there for the Camden shows on 06, this time around Im staying at the Marriot that's connected to PHL-Airport since my flight the next morning is early as shit...

I'm sorry I didn't have suggestions for hotels in DC and MA.

Yeah, and the best part is you can find abandoned coolers and things like that to carry your beer in on the way! Remember that?

Does Club Quarters have nice parking?

Cause from what it sounds like, I shouldnt be driving my car form Philly to Camden.
