I havent even read the 'walked out of DC' thread, but this is unnecessary...

And FWIW... I walked out as they were kicking into SSB to try and avoid that awful deer creek traffic and it worked like a charm!

I've never walked out until the lights come on and the stage is empty.

We must've been lucky as we had NO problems getting out of ther, and we stayed until the boys walked off the stage. We were out in less then 15 minutes.

I walked out after SSB and saw an amazing duo -- the Hawaii EV shirt and, shit, I think it was an ACL shirt ... kinda foggy. But I told the dudes, "Whoa, those are two ELITE shirts! Well done!"

As the recent comments on the review thread are stating, man, soooo many crappy aspects to the whole weekend ... that had absolutely nuthin to do with how amazingly fun the actual performance was! I put a lot of weight on the midwest hospitality and the 10C fans, making the best of trying times!

Been telling my story to lots of folks and they keep saying, "And you're smiling like it was fun!?!?"
    Yeah! It really was!

    [sic] happens
  • Such as great night that if not in the right state of mind could have been much worse. Friend and I stayed at Hotel near by, walked to preparty, walked to show only to find out gates would not open on time and the apocalypse was about to happen. We decided to head into the lot to find some folks that would let us use their car for shelter. Met some very nice folks stayed dry and was in my 10c seats by the time BOH hit the stage (early 10C pick up is the way to go). Release to open, my first Garden and Baba. Next show is #10 so it will have to be special, but this was one of the best concert experiences I have been apart of. Cannot wait to see next list of dates so I can figure out were it will be. Any suggestions?
