it must be murder on Eddie's voice, its vocals are so high

he strains even on the album, its like at the absolute breaking point of his range

live, he has done some high parts in a low voice...i don't know why he wrote a song where he has to strain so much....maybe he figured they'd record it, and worry later about playing it live

he can't do it, i tell ya!!!

    ditto for Amongst the Waves

  • I loved seeing it open Philly 3, and was dissappointed it didn't make an appearance at any of the shows I went to this year. I agree they should play just breath less. I love the song, but opening the 2nd set with it every night is becoming a little boring and predictable.

I'd take a 'traditional' opener any day, but if they go fast this is a winner for me..

The Portland show with it as an opener last year was a very high octane rockin show. It really kicked the night off well.
  • No Supersonic either, I dig that song.

Man your avatar makes me happy. What an amazing show that was, eh? Not to change the subject, but still. It's not every day you see Gossard sing Don't Gimme No Lip with a cake on his head. Or freaking Harvest Moon. I'll stop now.
