Jenne said Ames / BigPoppa isnt doing the posters.

It must be Klausen, or maybe they will use all the posters the fans created in the 10C Contest ---for the upcoming tour- in which case I suspect they will be hopelessly available.

It's going to depend on how many shows they do and the $$$, 10 shows, you are looking at over $600 probably.

Yeah, that's the scary part....not knowing how good these are going to be, and paying all that $$$ before you know. I'm really hoping Ames starts to put more thought/creativity into their posters. I'm sure they're making tons of money from them, so the least they could do is hire some good talent.

The 1998 Ames' posters were the best! We need that kind of quality from now on.

    Ames=$$$

they laid a few farts, but whatever, i'd say they have a very good batting average. An "on" Ames poster is a lot cooler than an "on" klaussen.

and ames is doing the posters, at least some of them, check their website

Jack Johson writes beautiful songs, has a great voice, and positive lyrics. He makes people happy with his music, as Ed Ved put it, anti road rage music.
Ames makes SHIT! They put no effort into their prints, they are overpriced, they use unfair selling tactics to sell their shit, AP2, WTF?
Please, don't argue posters with me, I am obsessed with collecting them and I don't want to get all worked up!

Do we ever have opposite opinions on that one! But to each his own I guess.
well, we haven't seen an "on" Ames print in so long... I'd say we get 1 or 2 "on" ames out of every 300 or 400 prints they create...
Klausen, he's on at least 85% of the time...
Enough debate, pick an unknown artist that is good, that aprpeciates his chance to get famous working for PJ, let him do a tour, then move on to another unknown... people won't be flipping them for a lot, and it gives someone else a chance... also, it will be a kick in the ass to ames, they'll finally realize they need to step it up, or start making ap3, ap4, etc of their prints that will actually sell...
I'd buy an AP27 of them nice old 98 prints!

Ames and BK have very differnt styles in their art. Both have gems and both have duds. Every person looks at art differently. I think Ames has a lot of nice posters, Italy 2006 is one of my favorites of that tour as an example. Same with their Hawaii.

It does say on the site that Ames is working up new ones for the tour

I like both. While I am digging the Klausens, it wouldnt be a PJ tour without some AMES posters, good or bad.

No, it wouldn't be a PJ tour without Ed, Mike, Stone or Jeff. Matt and BOOM also help, but we don't need Ames, Klausen, EMEK, Horkey, or anyone else, just Ed, Mike, Stone, Jeff...

though I do mostly agree (there are a few I like, but a change of style and artist would be more than welcome), it's not going to happen.
Ames is family, literally..they're never going to get fired.

I'm bummed their on board...hopin for Brad or someone new.

Ames boys are lucky PJ happened and rabid fans continue...they would be putting up drywall otherwise...there's just so many others out there who are better.

I kinda thing what makes Brad's work "special" is that it is relatively rare. The Brad and Ames stuff has become synonymous with the tours over the last few year and, as someone else said, I don't think a tour is a tour without some Ames.

    indeed.
i love some ames prints..i love some klausens. :)

i would TOTALLY buy posters sight unseen for shows i am ATTENDING. but yes, there's just NO way i am buying a whole series. i personally ONLY collect shows i attend, it's how i keep myself in check. ;) i'm only attending 5 shows...so yea...i don't want the issue of selling/trading, etc. i HAVe every poster fofr every show i've attended thus far...so i have nothing i want, nothing to trade...and i don't want to have to get into all that. i WISH they would sell INDIVIDUAL show posters in ADVANCE.

    one can dream.......
    Stay with me...
    Let's just breathe...

I am myself like you somehow

  • I'm seriously thinking about trying to get the whole set. I really only want the posters from the shows i'm attending so i'll end up with a few that i don't really want. BUT, it totally beats the hell/stress of having to be THE FIRST in the door to try and score a poster or the eBay hassle afterwards.

It'd be nice to just chill before the show for once :o;)

You know...that is a good point, if I were doing this tour, what a stress free way for a poster collector to attend shows

Of all the ridiculous statements that you post on various message boards, this has got to be up there with the best of them. You have no idea what level of effort they put into designs/prints, and are in absolutely no position to pretend that you do. You're stating opinion as fact. It's fine to not like them (and unless someone actively ignores your posts, it would be impossible not to know that 'pjtaper' doesn't like Ames and thinks EMEK can do no wrong). Please give us all a break - you don't like Ames - Noted, for the hundredth time... Your monotonous ramblings are just so tiresome...

PS - for such a 'poster guru', why would you even include Horkey within the realm of possibility for doing a PJ tour? It just doesn't make any sense stylistically from either side.
