Do you ever look at your profile and then all the stuff/tickets you've bought over the years and think that you may have a serious addiction? Holy shit, I've spent a lot of money over the years on Pearl Jam.
I happen to think this addiction is worth every cent.

We may be in a recession, but I'm spending money like a freaking maniac. This life is meant to be enjoyed, and PJ just gives so much damn joy. June, please hurry the hell up.

Mine goes back to 03, is missing three sets of tickets that I bought through TM, and is 1,852.89.
Sounds like a bit, but it's only 370/year

Probably not nearly as much as some of you have spent, but still...I had no idea that I've poured that much money into the band.

$3,000 on PJ could be $3,000 spent on a new road bike, or drugs, or crazy speakers, or a few vacations or new carpeting for your house. I think a lot of money on something you are passionate about is perfectly fine as long as you can afford it. If I couldn't afford 5-7 shows a tour, I wouldn't do it.
I view PJ tours as mini-vacations where I am able to do something that I enjoy almost more than anything. It's a no brainer for me. I get to travel to different cities, occupy myself during the day with various activities, and then absolutely love life for a few hours at night.
As far as the money I've spend on the music, bootlegs, memorabilia, etc, well...like I said it could be drugs or something else. Everyone has their passions. Mine/ours is harmless (if not rejuvenating sometimes), and if I couldn't afford it I would cut back.
With all that being said, I look at my profile sometimes and my heart skips a beat sometimes. No matter how I justify it, that is a lot of money

That includes a couple of posters I picked up for mates and concert ticket pairs which I would've gotten money for.
