Bristow traffic update. 66W

For those travelling on 66w from nova/dc. The time is 3:30 and traffic is moving well up to fair oaks. Stopped to pick up a friend and getting back on 66w. Will update as I get the chance. If anyone else has any updates, I thought it would be nice to post in one place. also, just checked google maps and It looks green the rest of The way. For now at least.

    There's been construction on 495 off and on over the past few months....just fyi. It will affect the traffic on 66. Be safe. See u there :)

    Yea the traffic will be from like exit 69-64 then should open up, traffic again by venue since its a single road leading to the venue.
    Anyone know the HOV restrictions? I never look eventhough i drive that way EVERYDAY for work.

    HOV: left lane is HOV-2 until 7pm (as of now). If you head out early (before 630) traffic will suck until you get past Rte 50, then it should be pretty okay until you get off of 66... it's much better in Manassas these day than it used to be. It's still one lane in, from either direction, to the parking lots. You'll probably do better if you get off early at Exit 47 and make a right at first light for Ball's Ford Rd.

    At the venue now. Several people here in the lot. No problems so far. Traffic was fine. Cops werejust setting up off the exit. Good luck to all and see you inside!

    Copied from other post. This is what I did with no problems. Balls ford rd. Is the first light after getting off 66w. One easier option, instead of 66 is getting of at the 234 exit (second exit, not the Battlefield exit). Go down 1/4 mile or so, hang a right onto Balls Ford Road and take that straight until you get to Wellington Rd. Turn right on Wellington and the venue is about a mile down.

    That is a better alternative then getting off on the Prince William Parkway/Bypass. Going that route, the cops will force you to take the bypass all the way to Wellington Road. You would pass OVER Balls Ford Rd, then go another 4 miles out of the way. They won't let you make the right turn onto Balls Ford coming in this way, however coming in all the way on Balls Ford, you can continue straight.

    It's 4:30, we are at exit 60 on 66, and we've been stop and go since 495.

    I am currently way more stop than go on 495. We're going about 9 miles an hour right now, and that's the "go" of my stop and go! I'm still about 9 miles from 66W. Wish me luck!
