Has anyone seen it? I just saw it tonight & thought it was very relevant to so much of the conversation on this forum.

I saw it a couple years ago and I got to say I'm not suprised. But then again I read all kinds of books about stuff like that. The thing is is that wether you watched fox, CNN, NBC or even abc, they're all the same. They're all pawns in this game. They work for the same goal, to manipulate, confuse and brain damage your brain with bullshit they call free press and news. A wise man onnce said," turn off your tv." MJK

Yeah, it was really good, especially the "some people say..." And the monsanto segments.

    Have you seen 'the corporation'?

Yeah I saw this several years back and it didn't reveal anything all that shocking to me.

A good read about the media is Media Monopoly - http://benbagdikian.net/index.htm

Haven't seen it yet but Manufacturing Consent by Chomsky is a classic.
Everything not forbidden is compulsory and eveything not compulsory is forbidden. You are free... free to do what the government says you can do.

Yeah, I studied about this stuff in my communications & journalism classes in college. And I agree that there's a problem across the board. I did think it was notworthy, though, that Rupert Murdoch has SO MUCH more power than all the others.

You've reminded me of another good saying: The revolution will not be televised. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EsO4u46wIlk

Somehow I missed the Monsanto segments. :?

No, I haven't seen The Corporation. But my friends and I decided last night that it would be the next film we watch. One of my friends had already seen it and loved it.

now that i think about it i think the monsanto segment is in the corporation, it's about 3 fox news journalists that had their story pulled because it wasn't flattering to monsanto and the 3 were then fired when they refused to re-edit it to be more positive towards monsanto

It figures. Ya know, I think people should be able to spin things to fit whatever perspective they like - but this should never ever be confused with actual news. It's that giant blurry line (or lack of a line) that's causing us problems.

    Nope, never seen it.
