I always thought they were good, don't get me wrong, but the reputation that they have I never really got until i started listening to their live shows..

This one I got on atm is 3 hours 15 mins long and there are 10+ minute jam tracks all over the show. Nothing like a 30 minute version of Moby Dick!

It's great once it clicks Ed! I've had many late nights thanks to the Page/Plant partnership. Which show was it you listened to?

I'll have to check that one out. One of the neighbors listens to music loud enough for everyone to hear and he has an amazing catalogue of boots from Led Zep, Neil Young and the Grateful Dead. I just bought The Song Remains The Same remaster with extra songs and it's worth a listen if you haven't already.

back when I had vinyl , and could get it rather easily , there was this record store about a 5 minute walk form my house.

I USED to have bootleg vinyl rangeing from june 27(?) 1969(think this was a BBC show?) to aug 4 1979 definately Knebworth.

HAD around 10-12 Boot Vinyls that were double albums.exception Knebworth. 4 album set.

That's Destroyer right? One of the best boots. I haven't listened to it in quite a while - need to break that out again. That's when they really were bootlegs!

I think their live shows were pretty hit and miss. A buddy of mine saw them back in the day and said Plant was drunk and kept forgetting lyrics, and the rest of the band just couldn't keep it together...

Really 77 was the only year that you could classify as bad. Page was neck deep in heroine and Plant was recovering from a car wreck.

They were a different band when they started comin out of that, but 68-75 they were the greatest live act to ever walk the earth.

there's a record store downtown that usually has some zeppelin boots. i only got one night stand (bbc 26.6.1969) and three days after (la forum 3 june 1973) but they have a few others.

it's not really the best store fore new stuff but fuck do they have a lot of great used records! they carry some pink floyd boots, as well. they have a roger waters boot one but i didn't get it.

if you haven't seen it yet you have to check out their 2 disc dvd, that is just freakin phenomenal! the clip from some european tv show with them playing 'dazed and confused' to a bunch of old people with very confused looks on their faces always made me laugh

Find yourself Fillmore West 4/27/1969. The one with the avocado poster. Killer soundboard floating around. I have on cassette from back in the day. Try to find yourself LA Forum Sept, 1970. OK crowd tape. The crowd was so insane, after 5 encores, they didn't know what to play, so they played "I found my thrill on blueberry hill" and actually nailed it. Page's improv on that was amazing.

Of course, get the Zep DVD. Great version of White Summer/Black mountain side.
