how to dry a plant?

or rather the flowering part? a friend gave me about 2grams of blueberry but it's still a little wet. i put it in a sealed glass jar and placed it on 1 of my window sills but it's been cloudy and rainy the past few days so not much progress has been made....someone told me to put it in a microwave or oven but it seems like even the lowest temp on the oven (100degrees) might destroy some of the good parts of it

    there's only ONE plant that most of the folks around here know how to dry. :shock:

    Get it out of the glass jar for starters. That's where you keep your stuff when you don't want it to dry any further. Then just let it sit out in the open air for awhile and check it periodically. You can feel when it's ready.

    from memory don't you hang it upside down in a dry cool place, or I think you can lay it on a screen too??

    It's only two grams. It isn't like he's curing this year's harvest and hiring leaf snippers or anything. But you're right, at least for larger volumes.

    i knew they hang branches and big sticks upside down but this is just 2 small buds, i didn't figure it needed all that since it isn't very dense

    how about just putting it on a plate and air drying it?
    it's only a wee bit so it's not some huge undertaking.
    no jars until dry.
    jars act as a green house.
    weed = please no mold.

    i remember when i was a teenager
    a friend and myself put some damp greenery
    in a baggie and wrapped it around
    the heat duct on the floor of his car.

    a few moments later
    we had dry greenery
    that required us to smoke it.
