Fall US dates??

any rumors/speculation for West Coast/ Texas ????

    The Rumors were more circling that Soundgarden might tour in the late summer, early fall. Since they share a drummer, I was guessing that meant PJ wouldn't be touring at the same time.

    Yea I figured Soundgarden would just play the festival circuit? Palooza, ACL Fest?

    I hope they at least do a handfull of dates in late OCT for the 20th anniversary of the band !

    That sounds to me like a time to start working on a new album more than time for another tour.

    And you think it takes 2 months to record an album? The whole process from start to finish is at least a year to a year and a half process. So Backspacer will be well over 2 years old if they start in the fall.

    If they tour the US again the new album will be at least 2 years away from the end of that tour because they will no doubt want a year off after another tour.

    I don't think that is completely unheard of, I tend to thing more you way in that this will be the last for this cd b/c they did do a Fall tour in 09. However, Ed toured solo with his Into the Wild stuff in the summer of 09, the cd was released in Fall of 07. I want to think that they may do a short tour commemorating their 20th anniversary if they do anything, but they may just tack on some more Backspacer shows if anything, who knows? Guess we can just all hope. :)

    Man, I've been spoiled. Haven't seen them since last Friday and can barely wait until NYC. I don't want to go back to the feeling of not knowing when the next concert is :(

    I thought I heard him say in KC that was it for US dates this year- see you next year. That surprised me because of the anniversary that could be in fall time. I am hoping I heard it wrong.

    In Berlin last year he said the show was making it easier to plan for the next tour. In London a few days later he said they wouldn't be back in Europe for a long time. I don't like being at the centre of rumours but going by the idle gossip my daughter hears from music shops in Victoria/Vancouver BC there are rumours of Vancouver,Toronto and Seattle again for October/November. If you look at the logistics, Euro tour ends early July, month off for Matt before some Soundgarden dates, another month off and it's October and near the anniversary. PJ aren't going to let the 20th ann. of the Off Ramp pass without celebration and it's going to happen in and around Washington State if it's going to be anywhere. Another 10 -12 dates wouldn't surprise me a bit but I'm guessing that if you live in the South you'll end up disappointed again?

    Kinda hard to tour in the fall when brad(stones band) is playing in europe and rumors of a soundgarden fall tour. I expect pj to be done touring after europe. I can maybe see a 20th anny show at the showbox or say another drop in the park but that's bout it for concerts this year.
