securuty gate. I am pretture sure if i just put it in my back pocket I will make it through but if they use a medal detector it will probably be found.
Here is the camera : http://regmedia.co.uk/2010/02/18/h55_1.jpg

i have gotten other sony cameras in but what i didnt have was enough batteries for one full show and without really thinking about anything beyond getting the extra 2 batteries. In my travels i should have gotten another 4 gigabyte card as I had to pick and chose between only about 1/3 of the show. This year i am fully stocked with plenty free memory and plenty of battery power, and one hell of a better camera than those days. Got a great seat at one show and most likely a much better better fanclub seat at another show. But with the advancement in picture and espcially HD video recording on small devices do you think I will probably get shunned away more by the venue security than band security because the band pretty much allows in anything other than professional cameras, extended lenses, tripods and external mics, ect.
I guess anyways if they send me away before i have to get my ticket scanned I could always jockit, pray, and walk in again.

I think as long as it doesn't have a detachable lens you should be good.

cool thanks thats what i would have figured since the lenses doesnt actually come off but cameras have come al long way since my camera and that was just a 5.1 megapixel sony. But this camera has features you would't really expect to see on a camera of this size. Thats mostly why I was curioes but by your reactions I prettty much have nothing to worry about. Thanks again.

I don't take pictures much at shows but that looks like a consumer camera to me, as opposed to some big slr thing; i don't think it would be a problem, but when in doubt, always have a backup plan as to what to do with the camera if you can't bring it in.

You're totally fine. I brought in my Canon G11 to Buffalo, I told them what was in my pockets (a camera and a keychain), they said to go on. Pearl Jam allows cameras without removable lenses (aka anything that isn't a dSLR) - you're fine.

This one might give you problems...the pocket cameras usually go right in.
