i'm hoping not a lot of 10club seats for this show so my shitty number gets a decent seat :D

but maybe they just released more as the show grows near

This happens at nearly EVERY ticketmaster show...VIP seats not used by the promoter, venue and yes the band are released to the public in the day(s) leading up to a show. Happens at every Pearl Jam show I've been to for the past 19 years, along with NIN, Tool, etc. Just the way it works.
  • I just saw this on ticketmaster also, made me want to vomit. I can bet my ten club seats will be 200 or 300 level

Alota times venues will do what's called a ticket drop leading up to the show. Its a way for fans to get the "better" seats instead of better seats going to scalpers. That's why good seats are popping up for bristow.

Did 10C tickets even sell out for this show? Did any 10C shows sell out other than NYC and Boston?

I don't believe TC sold out of this show. If you look at Touring Fans, the previous shows had about twice the TC members.

If they had this show in DC proper, this would probably have been the hottest ticket next to NYC... but they chose Bristow, probably because of a deal the promoter has on this venue being an exclusive, and the lack of ticket sales is the result. This venue has a bad reputation.

I'd have to guess that the TC tickets for Bristow will be the closest for this leg of the tour, just by going by how many TC members listed this show on touringfans.net.

Was that the show where people were in traffic for hours and missed over half the concert? Why would any band agree to play there having heard about that?

I think it has a lot to do with the venue - I tried to go and had a very hard time talking anybody into coming. My sister lives in the area, she had like 8 friends that wanted to come to the DC area show... all backed out once they heard It was Bristow.

Personally I don't think it will be that bad, live nation owns the venue and they're not stupid. Yeah some traffic nightmare happened with radiohead, but I have a feeling they're more on top of it now

    Yup, that's the place.

I started an iPetition, and got almost 500 signatures to have Radiohead play another show, but this time in DC proper. The petition was mentioned on Billboard.com and other websites. Lots of people were shut out. I was in-line to enter the parking lot at 6:30pm, but due to mismanagement of the parking, did not enter the venue until 10pm.

If Radiohead (or PJ) were to play DC proper, there is potential for 100% of the crowd to take mass transit. At Bristow, it is the absolutely least eco-friendly venue, since 100% cannot take mass transit.

...again, it was raining hard that day, but with the last PJ show there starting off slow with Ed mentioning the traffic (if I recall correctly), that should tell them right there that this venue is not a place to repeat. I'd guess the promoter gave them better terms there though, since it their venue and it costs less to have an event there than an arena... but I think the lack of ticket sales there will be a hint for them to play DC proper next time.

DC is easy to get to from anywhere - via car, train or plane.
    Bristow is the opposite.

I was at the radiohead show, in the pit, it's where my photo --->
    is from.

That was on of the best shows I was ever at.
The venue gets a bad rap because people didn't have the foresight to leave for the show early.
PJs gonna bring it and the show will be awesome.

Ticketmaster - we are stuck with this system-nothing has changed with their mergers or revamping. I was traveling when 10C tickets went on sale so I missed my chance. When I got home at the end of March, I got seats in the 300's-not great but happy to be at least in house. Over the past month, there have been much better seats thrown out there on a daily basis. At the end of April, I thought I scored, with Row A in the 200's. Since then, other friends have bought tickets and ended up in the 100's. Today, row N in 101 is out there. What the ...? I feel duped. Whatever happened to "first come-first served"?

In terms of traffic/parking - DC has major rush hour issues, but get there early and try to park near the exit. Parking near the exit is KEY! I have been to a few concerts there and would NEVER miss Pearl Jam because of the venue. Aside from the parking issue, I think the sound/viewing is good. Just be patient - you will be with fellow PJ lovers. I did miss an opening act once,(Stevie Winwood with Tom Petty in '08) Will definitely get an earlier start this time.

Despite the double ticket investment, (will I go for a third try?) I am so wanting it to be Thursday already - the play lists have been so great - we are up for an awesome night!

Dropping of better seats has been happening for as long as I have been buying concert tickets. Is this your first concert?

No, but I started looking earlier than usual and it became painfully clear that there were SO many tickets out there - disappointing that Pearl Jam hadn't sold out the venue.
