stop the BS at buffalo and future shows guys

I watched and confronted a fellow 10c member in the parking lot tonight (I had seen him at previous shows the past six years or so). He was in a group of other fans and they were just berating an intoxicated homeless man tonight. I could see in his eyes his shame and it was mostly the group he was with but come on. That man is human. The 10c member apologized to the person and we shook hands. Please let's not do this. We as a community can at least make our little PJ world a better place to exist.

    unfortunately..some people don't mature....and it takes a real man to enact on something that troubles him in society.
    good work david...hope you enjoy your shows and future shows without dealing with such stupid behavior happening around you. myself as well.

    I think everyone on this forum has a flawed perception of Pearl Jam fans. The majority of people here are classy individuals, but unfortunately Pearl Jam attracts a lot of really disrespectful a$$holes. Good for you for putting them in their place!

    I do not understand how someone could possibly treat another human being so cruelly. Good job for standing up for this man. This kind of stuff makes me so sad :(

    *edit* wow, listening to that brings back some extra memories haha....fucking awesome show..I'll never forget hearing Go on LO2L for the first time, knowing EXACTLY what show it came from. I've got a video of that show...somewhere.....on vhs.....i think.

    Oh, yeah. That awesomeness almost happened that night. Then it didn't. :( Two days later I was working the MSG shows, and I was glad I'd be able to see a soundcheck with them... but they didn't even soundcheck! I think MC spent earlier in the day learning it. But would have been awesome to break it out with them at CAA!

    It might. I worked during the show too, so I missed a bit of that show. Caught it in bursts.

    Usually the techs to a proper soundcheck of the gear, and bands come in to more rehearse and get comfortable in the room. But it may have contributed. And the band arrived in plenty of time to. But they just wandered the dressing room corridor and chilled. And bands rarely do a soundcheck on a second evening in the same venue, as far as I recall.

    well familiar with bands/venues/soundchecks....especially at MSG. I've played that stage :)

    my band played with weezer a few years back...ran into pj's production manager there (he was on the road with weezer at the time)

    He and pj's security dude also toured working for Marilyn Manson.

    really short one :) he recognized me, go figure.....but I usually know who to talk to at PJ shows...all the interesting shit (as a musician) happens before and after the show, and sidestage and at the soundboard during :)
