If you get the chance to see this band...

Do not pass it by!

I became a fan in 1998 in 7th grade. Ever since then, it has been my dream to see as many shows as I could on a tour, or in a row, but I have never been able to do it. One show in 00, 04, 05, 06, 07 and two shows space apart in 03. When this tour came around, I bought 10 Club tix to Columbus and Cleveland, and then a week or so before the Indy show, I decided I had to be there to, and ended up driving over and picking up a lawn ticket. All of this was seriously one of the best decisions I have ever made, and these past 4 days have made for one of the best weeks of my life. These guys did not let me down once. Over three nights I saw 59 different songs, including at least 10 songs I had never seen before, not counting Backspacer. Cleveland was my 10th show, and I had always been a little disapointed that I hadn't seen many of the classic openers, and they gave me Oceans, Release and Wash. Holy crap! And then there was Garden, Rats, Leash, Come Back, Alone, Down, Sleight of Hand, Marker in the Sand, etc. And those are just songs I had never seen before.

I am telling you, see this band. Unless you are going to lose your wife/husband, lose your job, or forclose on your job, find a way to do something like this. You won't regret it!

I'm not much of an NBA fan, so yeah, go tribe!

I have almost the exact same experience as you, although I am much older and have been a fan a little longer . I had seen the band just once on several tours 96,98,00,02,03,05,06 but had always wanted to see multiple shows in a row. Then in 09 my wife and I went to both Seattle shows and the Vancouver show and it turned out to be one of the greatest weeks of my life! I've now seen ten shows and cant wait to see more, I'm hoping for a fall west coast tour really badly. Anyways thanks for sharing your story it definitely put a smile on my face. I couldn't agree with you more, but I would change the title of the thread to If you ever get the chance to see this band more than once on a tour, don't pass it by!

Been telling my wife this for years, she finally went with me to the Noblesville show. She is now hooked and loved it. Still kicking my self in the ass for not going to more shows this tour.

It's always nice to see posts from people who are grateful to see the band and not complain about how they only got to the 17th row from 10c. Looking forward to Saturday, when my first of four shows starts in Hartford. Then a trip over the river to Newark and then my two home shows at MSG. Can't wait!

I'm finally seeing them in Boston .. it's been a long time dream of mine to see them live and I'm so excited!!! I don't care what they play (certainly I'd love to hear a bunch of my favorites) but I'm just so happy to get to go and enjoy every second of the experience!!

I just hope that when I pick up my tickets, they are 1st row lottery. I will be so pissed if I get 2nd row, I mean if this happens, i'll wonder if the 10 club is even doing anything. :D See you in Bean Town

Yes, first show ... I've listened to enough boots to know just how good it can be ... I'm thinking since they are only in Boston for one night it should be extra special!!

By the way, nice name ... GO SOX!!

Thanks man. I'm taking a first timer to Boston myself. At this point for me, after nearly 20 shows, I get so much enjoyment from exposing newcomers to the face-melting powers of Mike McCready. His true genius is really only quantified in a live setting. He was the MVP of the 08 Great Woods shows. Enjoy!
