Any locals have any tips for those parking at the HSBC who want to not be trapped exiting tonight? I see I can "prepay" to park at the HSBC lots online. Do the "platinum and gold" lots get you out quicker or are they just closer to the entry gates? Have a looong drive home. Any advice appreciated.

Don't park at HSBC...There are plenty of parking options within walking distance to the arena, many options that are cheaper and should be easier to get out of after the show. One place I suggest is pearl street brewery. I plan on parking there and having a beer or two before the show. That's where I park for Sabres games and its usually half the price. The map on their site isn't much but here's a link to their site

Thanks - that is exactly why I asked. I guess I'd be like the fools who park at the Air Canada Centre for a hockey game.

anytime...Really, you could park anywhere on the couple of blocks on Pearl st. closest to the arena and be within 10 min. walking distance. They have a bunch of satilite lots in addition just in case pearl street brewery's lot is full.
