Nothing to be sorry about.  Sham of a fucking ownership group spent only a few times in his career and wasted it.  Couldnt ask for a better team leader and hard worker.  They pissed it away.  Each time they spent they backed off a year later.  
Pathetic.

It has been since 1995 that they won a playoff series.  That is so gross.  
The 20 years prior were pretty good.  Not so much the last 30.  
The game changed a lot, financially.
Some fraudulent owners did not.

Geno back is a good add and a short term risk.
That does move Steer back to OF and improves the bleak look I had at OF.
Still not enough to do it, likely,  but better than the day before.

the white sox tweeted a “momentous firsts” thing for black history month. frank thomas was big butt hirt that he wasn’t included. comments on the athletic made plenty of references to “she’ll like it too.” 🤣

I liked Geno. I'm actually wearing a Geno Good Vibes Only shirt today. I will miss him on the Mariners. That said, I'm just reading now that it's looking like Brendan Donovan is coming to the M's. Not sure what the price is yet. I know that the Cardinals were asking a hefty price. Hipefully the M's don't lose too much, but I think he will be a good addition to the team.

Giants were thought to be after donovan. I’m glad they didn’t get him. The asking price seemed high.

I’ll be surprised if Geno doesn’t hit at least 50 bombs this year. He may go 60 with the GABP factor.

That's what I heard too. We got rid of Ben Williamson, who has potential, but hasn't really panned out like the Mariners wanted. I liked him, but Donovan seems like the matured version of what Ben could eventually become. We also gave up two prospects, one of them an ambidextrous pitcher. Kind of bummed to lose him, but if the M's are looking to win now, then I don't mind getting rid of a couple prospects. They don't always work out the way you expect.

So I thought last night that ESPN was going to handle the new packages, but now I'm reading that ESPN isn't required?   I turned off my auto-renew last night, but decided to turn it back on for now as it doesn't set to renew until 2/28.   There was no option in the account settings so I called MLB and waited 30 minutes for them to tell me the account has been closed ...  huh? 

I told them to re-open it.  They said there was nothing they could do and that I could open a new account in March (makes sense that a multi-billion sports empire is probably still using Netscape servers).  I told them I would not be doing that and after an uncomfortable silence I asked them to forward this recording to Rob Manfred for successfully alienating another of their customers.  Bravo, Rob!
