It was basically just Alvarez, got 3 of the 4 hits off Sale, and drove in all 3 runs he let up (not counting the one charged to him that Brasier let up).

Missed third strike call on Altuve puts him to first.
Brantley hits a squib that Devers fielded right and Schwarber muffed, Altuve to third , Brantley on first.
Squib back to the pitcher, holds Altuve and only gets the batter at first.

I'm sure Sale was a little frazzled by this now so it wasn't just Alvarez that did damage up to this point.

Hope I’m wrong but it’s over. Slumping at the wrong time and that offensive production wasn’t sustainable. Nice surprise to be in the post season though.

Yeah, it seems to be working for the Braves tonight... but I have to keep hearing about LA playing one tomorrow. definitely a newish thing. in the case of the stinking dodgers, they only have 3 starters they trust. kershaw is on the IL (as usual); carrot top is on the IL; bauer is suspended for being a woman beater and david price is being david price.

bullpen games can, in theory, be really tough on the opposition…..batters are facing fresh arms; throwing different stuff from different sides and don’t get a second or third at bat against the same guy.

I had this idea years ago.  Make every game like an All-Star game.  Load the roster with 15 pitchers whom all pitch two innings every other day or so and extend a pitcher to a 3 day rest.

I think you could do this throughout the year and do some real damage to other teams.

It is my analytic pipe dream I had before analytics.  I think I was 15 when I came up with this idea.

I really hate Darling.  He has taken over the Tim McCarver role for me.  Just says dumb, obvious stuff to fill air time and annoys me.  Also sounds too much like James Woods talking and it bothers me.  

And now, I actually get nostalgic thinking about McCarver, and I think I was his biggest anti-fan.

McCarver and Kiner were the BEST duo in all of announcing.  The more Kiner drank, the more McCarver would get annoyed, lol.  I brought them up because they announced Mets games when Darling played.  Darling became a Mets announcer whom I got used to listening to so I don't get the bias.

Darling is up there with Joe Buck for me. Both drive me insane.

I do like their counterparts---John Anderson & Smoltz. That would be a duo that wouldn't make me want to throw my tv in the fireplace.

I really don’t get why people like darling and I feel like there are a lot of people that do. It’s just such obvious stuff “that all didn’t go where he wanted because he wasn’t looking”. Thanks, captain obvious

However, I like joe buck now and don’t get the hate. He has gotten so much better

For me, it's because he repeats the same shit over and over and adds nothing to the game. On top of that, he clearly shows his bias.

Both Buck and Tim MOUTHCarver are/were annoying as hell. 

Did Braves blow there chance to close out the LAD?(LAD had a Bullpen game and Braves had a good Starter going)
