Comparatively speaking to other recent deals and what Trout is capable of, its not terribly unreasonable.Cliffy6745 said:Dare I say it's a reasonable contract?
This weekend we rock Portland0 -
Should’ve happened 3 or 4 years ago. Aside from
giving him that absurd money after he’s 35 it makes perfect sense.0 -
The halos have a hell of a farm team with a few coming up in the next few years. Watch for them.eeriepadave said:Well so much for him playing for the Phil’s. Hopefully the angels start winning.0 -
I think so. Hell, after Harper signed his contract, I thought they'd have to give Trout a small country or something.Cliffy6745 said:Dare I say it's a reasonable contract?

If he breaks down like Pujols I won't be happy though...0 -
Good for him! In the grand scheme of things I think anyone making that kind of money is a tad ridiculous (regardless of career) but I'd rather see the players get it in sports than the owners hog it all. These are the guys that are putting asses in seats and making you filthy rich in the first place. Pay them!

If you can't win the Division then you deserve to be in a one game playoff. Win the Division to avoid the one game playoff.HesCalledDyer said:
I'm not following the logic here. What does winning the division have to do with whether the WC is 1 or 3 games, or vice versa?cutz said:I'm a no for the Wild Card best of 3.
Win the Division.0 -
What does that have to do with whether it's 1 or 3 games though? It's still a Wild Card to determine who plays against the best team in the league.cutz said:

Not taking his rookie year into account, Trout would have made an average $67K for each at bat prior to this year with this salary. $67K may be a bargain as old age and injuries eventually set in.

It was 2014. Both KC & SF were Wild Cards.tempo_n_groove said:
