    Yeah I found this one tough. The SD/LAA cross was too much for me. I think the Angels are one of the teams over my lifetime I've thought about the least.

    Yeah, the Birds wore them because - I belieeeeve - the original colors for the Eagles were based on the FDR New Deal Eagle (the blue) and the city's flag.

    But again, I want this uni scheme because it's the colors of our city's flag. Which I believe is also Boston's city's flag color, buuuuut I don't know what that's rooted in. Ours is rooted in the Swedes being the first colonizers/settlers in the area, outside of course the Lenni Lenape and the dinosaurs.

    Ohtani had a great doubleheader today - tossed a complete game shutout in game 1, and homered twice in game 2

    (He also left with some sort of pain in his back after 2nd homer)

    Can someone explain the Cardinals-Cubs game yesterday?

    Cubs player inadvertently (at least to my untrained eye) caught the Cardinals catcher in the facemask with the follow through on his swing. 
    Cards catcher gives the Cubs guy a a little bro-hug seemingly saying it's all good. The Cardinals pitcher then hits the next batter and got tossed. It seemed intentional that he hit him, which I don't understand but it was also a mild plunking and the announcers lost their minds that they threw him out.

    Cards pitcher was protecting his battery mate, commendable.  Hit him in the but, not head hunting.

    It's all stupid.  Umps didn't need to toss anyone.  Warnings should have been given if anything.
