You gotta give it to Kerhsaw though...still wanted the ball. Game 1 goes on Donny and tonight he could've easily yanked him after those 2 hard hits to start the inning.

As a Cards fan, if Matheny gets the choice again, I hope he goes with Kershaw to start the AS game next year. A kinda empty honor, but he earned it, despite blowing these leads. Now for the Cards to hold onto this lead.

Damn it.If only the Dodgers had a good bullpen. Looks like no World Series for Mattingly again.

Game 1 was a tough call as well. I think the next guy gave up a homerun. If he a Mariano Rivera or David Robertson. I could see taking Kershaw out. But he's their best chance.

Why can't the Cards play like this against the Red Sox?

  • It looks like Harper showed up to play this series. Only 21 years old. That was a moonshot down the line.

All four glamour teams are gone. Why? Don't know. Perhaps......grit and guts>payroll.

I respect the Cards but I look at their lineup and am not impressed.....kinda like when Cards fans look at ours :D

oh.....that whole "bryce harper coming out party"? his RBI double came after strike 4. I'll give him credit for the HR....altho he celebrated like matt kemp after his inconsequential HR.

I love that DC's out of this thing. If I can get through the next couple seasons of the Phils shitting up the joint, while the Nats eat it in the playoffs, I'll be a very happy man.

I was talking about the series in general. He played well. Made some plays with his glove and hit a few bombs. Yelling from the dugout was a little douchey.

Q: if you're Justin Verlander, do you:

    a) Dump Kate Upton and hope to regain your form

    or

    b) Hang on to Kate and say, "fuck it"?

    B, in a runaway.

  • Super bummed on the NL, the 2 teams I least wanted to make it to the NLCS made it.
(Sorry imalive, I dont like the Giants because I despise Barry Bonds and learned to hate on them while he played for them....they are a great organization) Don't like the Cards because I am a Reds fan and because they are so damn good.

That said I am rooting for the Giants....and the Os. Happy with the Royals as well from the AL, like the new blood we are getting either.

Been very exciting playoffs to watch!

Seriously. In what world is dumping Kate Upton an option?

Hahaha, no doubt. One of my friends who was either a 'Master Swordsman' OR a 'Biggest Man Whore Ever' depending on which one of my friends (male/female) I was talking to about him always told me: "For every hot person out there, there is someone else sick of sleeping with them."

I can buy that but I think it would take a looooooong ass time with KU unless she was the most annoying person on the planet. (And then it would just take a long time!)

Go American League in the WS!

    cliffy-

Harper hits a TYING HR and goes crazy in the dugout.....in a game and series he loses.

Kemp gets the Gatorade shower and bubble machine for a HR that wins ONE game in a series he loses.

    understood.

kinda crazy that the two AL teams are about 30 years removed from a World Series win, while the NL teams are two and three years removed. I'm just glad both SoCal teams are done :D

I agree he was dumb in the dugout. He is just a kid. Hopefully he will grow up. Kemp is kind of a douchebag and not somebody to model yourself after. I do remember acting like a fool a couple times when I was that age.

I'm just blown away by his postseason moves. We're all screaming "noooooooo!" until we're screaming "yes, yes, yes!"

Starting Zito, starting Hudson, Timmy out of the pen, Renteria at SS, etc.......

It's exciting to see some fresh blood in there. If my Yanks aren't in it, go for the underdog.

Yeah like i said i'm rooting for either AL team (preferably the Royals). Although Baltimore hasn't been there since '83 and they are closer to me, plus can't go wrong with Camden Yards and Cal Ripken :)

What are the chances/odds that this game goes extra innings again? If it does I would go with the Royals winning ;)
