    I'm vaguely conspiratorial about this Chris Sale injury. If he pitches today we'll know for sure. Basically they took a chance that they could win the game without him, so made up some injury to save him for Game 1. If he doesn't pitch today then we know I'm wrong.

    I'll always contend that Rose should be banned from baseball (betting on baseball as a manger is that egregious), but he also should be in the hall of fame. What does one have to do with the other? If it was up to me, he wouldn't be able to be a manager, general manager, bench coach, scout, color commentator, umpire, hell....I'd be fine with him not being allowed in any of the stadiums if they really want drive home that he's banned from MLB. But he could still have a plague in the hall. His career is his career. Let's say the gambling scandal happened after he was inducted? Would they have removed him from the hall? Knowing how lame baseball could be, they probably would. 

    All that said, as is the case with Bonds, Clemons, and everyone else that's blackballed from the hall of fame.....Pete Rose is all over the hall of fame museum. He's just not in that one big room with all the plagues and isn't an actual "hall of famer."

    I’m happy the Tigers won but it’s kind of shitty to make a division winner play in the crap shoot of a 3 game series. Meanwhile, the Guardians pad their record by playing the white sox 13 times.
