fangraphs counted down all 30 teams in their org rankings this week. the top 5 came out today.

yanks first, red sox second, phils third. rankings were based on current roster, farm system, budget/spending ability, etc. here are the yankee/phils links. good shit.

I did also read they scored on a squeeze, that is awesome.

Yeah, he is a tool. I am pretty sure it is a prerequisite to play for them.

It's so awesome, I am watching the fucking nationals right now just because.

Your a dodgers guy, right? Apologies if I am wrong. If so, pulling for you guys, would love to see mattingly do well, although my confidence is not real high.

yeah i feel bad for donny...and the players too...we've got...well calling him a douchebag is an insult to douchebag but a douchebag for an owner...bought the team on debt, took the money from the team and bought like 8 homes in beverly hills and malibu and now the divorce...on top of which, we have an increasing number of fans that make philly fans look like angels...it took the fucknut a week to finally do something about stadium security...why won't someone beat him into a coma

sorry for the rant, but it's just not fun to be a dodger fan right now

but i still have vinny :)
  • Cliffy6745Cliffy6745 Posts: 33,880
Dude, I read today the dodgers haven't had a "chief of security" or some title like that in months. That's crazy. I haven't followed the McCourt drama as much a possible recently but it sounds like they are about to settle, with a bunch of tv deal requirements and selig may try and force him out, which then mccourt would sur selig. I am tired just writing that.

Some good young pitchers though, if things get real bad, the yanks would be happy to take one off your hands.

That does suck, it's a shame a team with history like that is in such rough shape.

andre ethier on the day before opening day said he thinks this might be his last year here...he retracted it the next day but i don't think anyone wants to play for an owner that will spend no money on the team and is in general, a big prick....at least George was a big prick that wanted to win and spent what it took to do so...so yeah, kershaw and/or billingsly might be yours this july :(
  • Cliffy6745Cliffy6745 Posts: 33,880
I thinking saw ethier said that. That's a shame. Its too bad that in mattinglys first gig he is pretty much set up to fail.

Spot on about george, he was a prick because all he wanted to do was win. Hurt him at times but was great for the team in the long run, obviously.
