Zinn's passing = Boston setlist impact

IMO..

The loss of the great Mr. Howard Zinn this year will likely translate into the following for setlist tribute song appearances at Boston's one and only 2010 show:

1) "Long Road" opening
(note: Boston hasn't ever had a full electric perfromance of this song- only accoustic opening at 7/11/03)

2) "Down" ("you can't be neutral on a moving train")

3) "Light Years" (just my opinion, would be a nice tribute on the setlist)

4) "Crown of Thorns"... wait?...huh?... ok.. so I got greedy!

anyone else have predictions related to this tribute?

    At the very least, "Down" is a lock to be in the setlist. Any other "tribute" to Mr. Zinn will be an unexpected cover song of some sort.

    I loved the Dylan birthday tip of the cap 4 years ago with "Masters of War" and "Forever Young".

    Given Zinn's life accomplishments as a historian and expertise in the subject of war, I would recommend Dylan's "Masters of War."

    Also would be cool to see some Zinn themed poster.

    Maybe I Am a Patriot solo during an encore dedicated to Howard Zinn, with a few kind words sprinkled at beginning or end.

    That version of Forever Young is absolutely beautiful- I listened to it for the first time in a while the other day and it killed me. Masters of War was amazing as well.

    I was going to suggest something regarding the boston show and the great dr.zinn's work...but i dont feel worthy...
    i'm sure boston will be epic in any case

    I agree we will get down probably in the encores and Long Road would be an awesome opener!!! Boston will be EPIC, the setlists so far have been AMAZING... God, I love this Band!
