Question about Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees

I was watching some of Ed's speeches as he inducted bands into the Hall of Fame. I was just wondering, who chooses who gives the induction speech? Is it the inductee's choice, the Hall of Fame's choice, or the inductor's choice?

    I've wondered that myself. It seems the speaker would volunteer. Ed's spoke for most of his idols already.

    I think it's the band. They may ask they reps and then get in contact with the artists whom they want to do it.
