Am I the only one who always gets Stone's side?

Every arena show I have gone to where I wasn't on the floor, I have been in the first section, Stone's side. Not on Mike's side once. Never. So I am wondering if this is true for anyone else. Could be you get Mike's side every time, and never Stone's.

This is not a complaint, I'm not bitching, I'm just curious as to whether or not anyone else is experiencing the same. Could it have something to do with odd or even member numbers? Or is it just a crazy coincidence? I'm 253,xxx.

This doesn't apply to outdoor venues, only arenas.

    I was on Stone's side...barely, last night.

More precise, I was on floor, SIXTEEN rows back (still coming down off that cloud) between Stone and Matt's hi-hat. If Ed stuck his left hand into the crowd, he'd be pointing to my left shoulder.

A hell of a lot better than my seats seven years ago. With my member number, I thought i'd be doomed to the back for all eternity, but a number of factors including the economy, people canceling their subscriptions(??), venue, must have played into it.

It was odd though, i'm a 279XXX and a five-digit person was right behind me...go figure.

Yeah, I think the seats are great, just find it odd that I'm always on that side, and not even once on the other. So I'm not alone, hmm...
Oh, and the PJ tribute band thing is pretty awesome!

I'm going to say crazy coincidence because this happens to me all the time too (except on Ticketmaster?)

Until, I've only attended GA shows but every time I go Stone's side because it gives me a better place (when people with 10c tix enter the venue, more people go directly Mike's side) and it's quieter during the show.

  • Stone is absolutely my favorite member of the band, and I am ALWAYS on Mike's side.

Any time anyone wants to trade, just let me know. I am going to CT, and MSG 1...

I used to be in the center section on the floor, 15-17 rows back. After the 2006 tour, I have moved back and back, and to Stone's side. I had Mike's side for Philly 3, and loved it. It's exciting over there, not so much on Stone's side. He stands and faces Matt for almost the entire show.

Fingers crossed for lottery or center or Mike's side tomorrow in Cleveland!

My wife and I were talking about this at the show last night. We have been on Stone's side for every show since 98. Weird.

I have the opposite happen to me! I've seen PJ dozens of times and am almost always on Mike's side (not that I mind - he rocks!). I was close up to Stone in Indy (lucky enough to get front row!), and everyone tried to get his attention so he'd look up - but he rarely did! He's in his own world (which is fine). I don't care which I side I sit on, but it is odd that it seems everyone gets the same side show after show. I still wonder how the 10C tickets are distributed - can't seem to figure it out.

Great Thread. My 10club # is 130XXX and I am always on Stone's side usually in row 11 or 12. My brother is 88XXX and he is always on Mike's side...far left...and within the first 8 rows. It really is strange that it's not mixed up more than it is.

State College 03... I just joined 10 Club months before. (No, I didn't attend.)

    GREAT LEDBETTER!

And my brother, how he was sent off to fight for the flag, I don't hope, I don't hope he comes home in a box...
And I know that he's just folllowing his...path...as long as it's not a box..

At least for me, there are two major indicators of a concert: The opener, and the lyrics and tag to YL.

I once again had Stone's side last night in cleveland.....

Dear Stone Gossard, thank you for showing up last night, remembering what it was like to rock out, and not facing Matt the whole show. Well played.

170,XXX 10C number, and until Friday in Noblesville, Ind., I was ALWAYS on Mike's side. This time we were on Stone's side. I kinda missed Mike's jumping and posing.

My member number is the mid-300's (joined in 05... sorry I'm just a youngin' only 25) and I've gotten Stone's side every time. Been to 4 shows on 10C tix, always Stone's side of the ship. Been to 2 festivals.. at both festivals I planned on getting on Mike's side (just to experience the otherside you know?), but as I was getting into the crowd I had friends pull me over to Stone's side instead, as they were already in there. The show's where I purchased ticketmaster tix, somehow wound up on Stone's side as well.

I have Hartford (ticketmaster) and Boston (10C). Have to see how the 10C ones work out. My Hartford tickets are straight on to the stage 15 rows up I think... so I should have the best sound in the building! (but still not mike's side!)

However, Stone always kills it. :D
Houston, Texas... Believe it or not, there are 7 million people here... must be a couple of fans who'd love to see you play.
