Ticket question+NYC area question

I'm flying from Atlanta to LGA, scheduled to arrive at 6:50. Does anyone know of the fastest way to get to MSG? I would like to try to get there at 9 if possible. I would rather not have my friend miss any of the show, so I was wondering if it were possible for him to leave his other ticket at will call for me after he picks them up. I figured ten club might be strict on that sort of thing, because I know you need ID to pick them up.

You have to pick up both tickets at the same time.

Whoops, guess I was wrong. Ticket can be left at will call but you really are cutting it too close.

Wow, you are cutting it extremely close. Is there anyway you can schedule an earlier flight?

what day is this? ... i'm coming in on the 5:45 but my gf is picking me up at LGA ... it's a brutal airport for flight delays ... not sure how adventurous you are but traffic can really suck getting into midtown ... i have taken a cab to roosevelt subway station (one of the closest to lga) and then taken the train right in ... the cabbie won't be happy as it's only like a $10 fare ... but for me it wasn't about the money as it was getting into town at a more secured time frame ...

    you should be fine
if the cabby knows how to navigate
When You jump in, tell him cash bonus if you make it snappy, I think LGA is not a flat fare, so they go slowly to hike it up-and make sure he uses the EZ pass lane-another scam to raise the fares.
LGA is the closest to the city
maybe 45 mins if the traffic is bad

You want the fastest way-reserve a car service for outside pick up-he will be waiting curbside-same deal with the bonus.

In theory, you could make it by 8:15 or so.

my cab from the msg area to lga was around $30 i think. it's your fastest option. i never have any problems arriving too late at lga. they generally schedule in extra time for delays. just don't check a bag and haul ass off the plane! good luck :)

Traffic can be a real problem. With no traffic it's a 30 or so minute drive. During rush hour in NYC... that's tighter than tight.

...and I was unaware that box office staff allowed people to give them things to hand out to other people. Anyone have any solid confirmation about this?
ADD 5,200 to the post count you see, thank you. :)

    Best, Cheapest & Quickest option!
Let the person getting you the cab know your "short riding it" (this way cab driver gets a ticket to jump the line when he returns to airport which makes him a happy & "safer" driver ;) ) to Roosevelt Ave & 75th st.
Go "DOWNSTAIRS" & take the E or F express train downtown to 34th st, unless your going to your hotel first. You'll have a few minutes to spare if all goes well 8-) . ENJOY

your cutting it EXTREMELY close, the traffic at that time into the city is a DISASTER. You can get a cab to MSG for about 45 bucks, not too bad,

Just don't check your bag, bring a carry on so you can get right off the plane and go (vs.wait while the bags spin around in a circle). You should make it before the show starts I think (as long as your flights not delayed).
