3-Day only passes?!?!

what if you can only go or want to go for one day? my friends and i just started planning a trip to chicago this summer and thought we'd pick a day to go to the festival (mainly to catch the black keys - whichever day they were gonna be playing) but there's no options for single day tix.

Doesn't every festival...bonnaroo, coachella, all points west...have the option for 1-day passes. I'm positive bonnaroo did in 2008 and all points west did last yr (b/c i worked it). This really pisses me off now...the lolla lineup sux anyways...will single-day passes become available as the festival gets closer?

thoughts? answers? help

edit: ok i see now that past lollas were 3-day only festivals too...thats just bullocks...they're missing out on serious revenue

Coachella changed to this model this year as well.

Outside Lands has always had this model.

who wants to see Green Day/Lady Gaga headline each night...not me...not spending $215 to see the Black Keys when I get to see them open for PJ in the same nite...chicago is gonna lose big this yr

soundgarden would be cool but only if u know their music

usually the one day passes don't go on sale til later. they try and sell as many 3 days as they can before they release the singles. probably have to wait til july.

Yeah from everything I have read about the past few years, the exact schedules for bands are released in mid to late June, and then single day tickets go on sale at that time.

This is my first year going and I got a 3 day pass... really hope they do not do away with single day tickets like Coachella did though, as I have several friends planning to get single day tix and meet up with me that way.

the only way they'll do away with the single day passes is if they sell out. a lot of people buy single day passes so unless they can sell out selling 3 day passes only i don't think u need to worry.

Outside Lands has only happened twice and has offered single-day tickets both times.
It makes much more sense to live in the present tense.

SG is worth every penney and when you add in the strokes, social d, mgmt, phoenix, grizzly bear, arcade fire..seems like a good deal to me
wasnt soo pysyched either for gd or gaga but gaga will def be an experience and i've heard great things bout green day live so who knows maybe they'll impress me...but SG is why I'm going

Green Day is one of the best live bands in the world. Whether tiny club shows or massive arenas, they always bring it.

I bought my single day pass last year in late June, not too long after they announced the schedule for each day.

1 Day passes are now out, as is the schedule.

I'm sorry that Arcade Fire and Soundgarden are playing simultaneously! There's a lot of overlapping bands - more than usual IMO.

I got a busy summer already but would love to do Chicago and Lolla this year. If so, big party in my hotel room and everyone is invited...lmao and crosses fingers.

i have to disagree...flaming lips, jeff beck, weezer, stevie wonder, jay z, KOL, DMB is better than anything Lolla has to offer...only band worth seeing besides soundgarden would be black keys imo and they played bonnaroo this yr
