Just bought the Philly boxset.....

and in a complete and utter waste of $9.99, I purchased an mp3 download of Philly 4 because I'm that impatient.

    I bought two Philly boxsets, because I don't want my husband to hide all of the Philly boots in his car, like he does with the other boots.

    I hope I can hold out without downloading mp3s, too. I guess PJ Radio will tide me over. :)

    I couldn't do it. I needed a mastered version of Bugs.

    for those who bought the digital downloads is the crowd very prominent throughout the whole bootleg or do they quiet the crowd down? I hope that the crowd is as loud on the bootleg as it was when i was there... i will be a little disappointed if not....any feedback will be greatly appreciated.

    It's like any other official PJ boot. You could hear some "Let's go Phillies" chants between songs and faintly hear people singing along with songs like Black or Daughter.

    I just did the same too. Bought 2 Philly Box Sets.

    I'm tempted to also buy a Flac download! Would be Night 4 cause I wanna play Whip It over & over after the Bruins win tonight! :mrgreen:

    What a show. I may never see another one like that. They were on fire. And that set list is sick. I know the appeal of a set list is subjective - it just so happens that this one was pretty close to my dream list (parting ways, Off he goes, Deep, Breath, in my tree, tremor christ - -it just goes on and on. Plus "Hold on" is ridiculous.)

    I just bought the boxset and also downloaded the final show, just could'nt wait, the crowd noise on the download doesn't seem to be as loud as it was that night, but the overall sound of the bootleg seems to be pretty awesome! cant wait to ge the rest of the shows!

    I REALLY don't get this at all....I already have all the Philly shows (thanks to you-know-who-you-are ;) ) and would only buy this for the DVD......I think it's strange they didn't make a DVD of such an epic event...whatever.....saves me $60

    Well not everybody grabbed them for free off of megaupload or wherever your buddy uploaded it for ya. Not that I have a problem with that...but you probably shouldn't advertise that you got them for free.

    I considered paying the extra for a download of the Halloween show, but I figure I can wait for the CDs since I've already waited 6 months for them to go on sale.

    Can you actually hear the crowd on these boots or is it like the other 09 shows where it sounds like they add the applause to the end of songs like an old 70's sit com would add fake laughter or applause to the show? The 09 boots sound like there isn't even a crowd until the end.

    I don't know why they changed their approach for the way they did the 2000 boots. I like being able to hear the crowd singing in the background even when the full band is playing and not just when Ed sings with just him playing or at the end of a song.

    I don't know about you, but the loud crowd in the background is what gives me chills and brings me back to the moment.
