I wasn't really yearning to hear Pilate either, but it sounded great in Philly last year. It was a pleasant surprise. I find myself listening to Pilate a bit more often since then.

I would LOVE to hear Pilate in Hartford or Boston. Jeff's songs are kickass.

I've heard it 2x in 9 shows. Great song. You can have your issues with the verse and the chorus, sure, but that bridge is just something amazing. Goosbump inducing moment 10 years ago at my first show, and again last night.

  • 1 of the more lasting songs off of an album that while amazing sonically, lyrically, and thematically, seems to wear more than the others on the ears after a thousand listens (or maybe i just wore it more, personally).

Pilate and In Hiding, imho, hold up over the others by a long mile.
After that, its Brain of J for the win.

    :D;) ;D

    Glad they're playin' this.
