Was this excessive force, possibly? Besides it being illegal, I do know if you are stupid enough to run unto the field you then can suffer the consequence of being tackled, punched by a player, and yes being tasered by the police. It matters none whether you are an adult or minor and it matters none whether he was *about to* give up....the cop doesn't know that.

    I once saw a cop clothesline a drunk fan at a Raiders game once so I think this 17 year old got off easy. Anyway, the taser is nothing compared the the psychological damage the kid will suffer from being teased for that photo.

    Is that greater than, or less than, the psychological damage one must suffer from to be a Raiders fan?

    Yes that stabbing incident just about ruined her career which took almost a year for her to recover. Security with a taser may have been able to make difference.

    A lightning ride from the Taser Gun seems like an appropriate penalty for the crime of 'Being A Dick'. They should have Tased that second fuckhead... twice. Once for being on the field and the second for being the second a-hole in a row.

    What's very funny about this, is many people and places in Philly were complaining and didn't appreciate the negative attention the original tasing brought. Seriously? From the city that boo'ed Santa claus and cheered when football players broke legs or others terrible injuries.

    both of these guys are morons. at first i was against the tasing, but the more i find out about it, like he called his dad before and all that, i can't say that i do not feel sorry for him. im sure the dad is all lawyered up and will be getting a nice settlement of some sort here in a few months...

    As much criticism as tasers get, when it comes to the number of different weapons that cops have, the only one that I would rather get hit with than a taser is the pepper spray (maybe). I would much rather get tasered than shot with a pistol, or a shot gun. And I would much rather get tasered then get hit in the head with the police baton.

    I think I'd want to get tazed more than have a chemical sprayed in my eyes. Tasing takes like 20 seconds, and then you are probably wiped out tired. Spray (from what I understand) stings for a long time, and if you rub your eyes it just makes it worse.

    Yep cap spray is horrid. I have fam and friends who are cops and part of thier training at the academy they had to get sprayed with cap spray. They would rather be hit with the taser, which kills like nothing else, as it is over and done with. But the spray gets into everything and stuck on your clothes, and can be really bad for asthmatics too!
