Questions about eTickets

A friend of mine bought (2)tickets off craigslist for $100 each. Location is in the 100's, Row A. He met with him in person and gave him the tickets. They're eTickets. My question is how many times can you print out these tickets? Could he have printed multiple copies. The price sounds to good to be true. Will it be a rush to the gate and the first to get in enjoys the show.

    Brain - you should be ok. I have etickets for MSG. If you look at the tickets, there are several "void" watermarks on the paper. Its hard to notice. I was told that if someone tries to make a copy the "void" show up clear on the copy. Hope that helps.

    If you paid with Paypal with your CREDIT CARD, your CC will protect you.

    If you paid with Paypal with your bank account, or paid by cash, money order, check, etc... you are not protected.


    And these tickets can (and are) printed over and over and over... making it easy to scam people.
    The paper is only worth how trustworthy the person selling it is.

    You absolutely need to be the first one in. Etickets are okay to buy off of Stubhub or even Ebay, but I would not buy e-tix from craigslist unless you are meeting the person at the door. Paypal almost always sides with the buyer (sometimes to a fault) so at least you can get your money back if you buy etickets on ebay and get scammed. Here is an article I found interesting about a scam with superbowl tickets and how shitty paypal and ebay can be to the seller of goods.

    He paid cash. He picked them up in person. I only questioned it because of the location. Stone's side. Row A. ??? He'll find out on the 21st. He'll be waiting for the gates to open.

    Something else to keep in mind... People CAN change the location written on a ticket. It may say "Pearl Jam - Section 1, Row A" but who says the barcode is valid, or even from this event?

    Paid CC through a ticket agency. Used them in the past but never etickets. Never had a prob going through the agency before. Just took a shot since it was MSG.

    KF - you are probably fine. Most "ticket agencys" are legit. So you probably paid over face, I'm sure your tickets will be good. Buying e-tickets off of craigslist is another story. Most companies running legit businesses are not going to sell you fake tickets. Just like most ebay sellers will lots of good feedback probably are not going to either.
