Poster situation thus far?

Anybody at the shows know the climate for posters so far? Is it frantic rush before they sell out like old school days or ridiculous surplus like in '09. Just planning ahead. Thanks!

i miss the days of fighting for posters...it was a glorious moment backing away from the merch table thru the crowd with poster in hand. I remember Boston 1 and 2 in 2006 were crazy...people shouting and pushing, when you actually got the poster you felt like you have conquered something haha.

also wondering if it's a good idea to have my buddy that is going to grab one with me in hopes of a trade later for some missing from my collection. This will def depend on the # of prints.

Aah yes, the 06 poster rushings, good times! I remember lining up for Boston shows and Albany as soon as possible and then SPRINTING to the poster stands. Boston was def a rough crowd though...MSG will probably suck this year too.

Just got back from KC and it was super easy to get a poster! I showed up before the doors opened and was one of the first people at the merch table. What surprised me though was that there were a few merch tables with literally nobody there buying! HOWEVER, after the show was over, I walked by 2 merch tables, and there wasn't a single poster to be found. Go figure! No rush to get them, but they were gone.

I'm asking because I want to get a poster at all the shows I'm going to including MSG. And I was at MSG in '08, so I know how it could get. But if it's like '09, I don't have to worry as much.

just wait and get them in the goods section, then laugh at the muppets on Ebay still asking for a fortune

The posters last year in Europe were on sale about 3hrs before the shows.

Went to KC last night. Got to the merch table about halfway through the opening band, and they sold out right before me. That was about 8pm I think. Hoping they're going to sell them after in the goods section. Anyone know for sure? Seems like I read on here that they will be.

    No one has confirmed that.

Just the haters who rather the poster for their favorite band be worthless.

Selling out before the show is def a sign of more limited printing.

Last tour you could have bought one whenever you wanted.

Actually 10c did confirm it in the post where they said there was no presale this year. They will have the usually posters sales for members after the tour.

To be honest, I really don't care how much they are worth monitarily, because I'm not going to sell them. But I'd like to have one without having to pay 200 on ebay. I will if that's what it takes, but I don't think you should call them haters. I just want a poster.

Think they will be enough posters to go around @ the 10club store, like the 2009 tour or will be it another '05/'06 experience where "the hits" will sell out within a few seconds again?

Not sure, I expect the BK/EMEK's to go fast, as well as the MSG. Curious to see what tonights is like. They have a lot of great artists lined up.

Fair enough. Hopefully they will bring a little of the poster fun back into this tour.

That is what I am hoping for. Every artist is really good that is listed to be contributers. The only one that I did not really care for that much was Taka Hayashi. I guess it is like picking my least favorite PJ song, I love them all but would rather hear Yellow Leddbetter than Foxy Mop Handle Mama : ) So if tonights poster is a Hayashi I will be happy!

Last night at KC there was a 2 per person limit, not one like in the past. Of course the lady at the stand I went to let the guy before me buy 10, no lie.

I wish if there is a 2 poster limit, that they would enforce it. That guy who bought 10 is an asshole. You know he's only in it for profit. Matter of fact, I hope he reads this post.

I couldn't believe she sold them all to him. First he asked for 8, then as she was counting them, he said "just make it 10". If I see him tonight doing the same thing I'm going to ask him what his eBay name is and post it here.

The KC show poster is AMAZING. LOVE the art work. In fact, it's the first poster I've ever purchased at a show. I'm planning to frame this puppy.

I too witnessed the abuse of the 2 poster limit. The posters did sell out but were easy to get. It was kc and I am sure 1/2 show up on eBay.
