She. (CML)
On windows
memories become rain.
Each drop
a bit of my life.
When the sea swells
exposed tombs drown me down
dragging me down under.
It all started
when raindrops
washed her roses
golden roots and up.
I swear
I hear her working the soil
as the garden is bathed underneath her.
As I cry remembering her singing
and so many yellows
all hers
a robin with a damaged wing
calls to me… calls to me.
When I look across the garden
I see no flying
no birdsongs
only memories raining.
On windows
memories become rain.
Each drop
a bit of my life.
When the sea swells
exposed tombs drown me down
dragging me down under.
It all started
when raindrops
washed her roses
golden roots and up.
I swear
I hear her working the soil
as the garden is bathed underneath her.
As I cry remembering her singing
and so many yellows
all hers
a robin with a damaged wing
calls to me… calls to me.
When I look across the garden
I see no flying
no birdsongs
only memories raining.
