interesting, every other country requires oil companies to use certain measures to prevent these things but here in the US we don't think an oil company needs to pay for such things, thanks to bush's deregulations.....

just like the exxon valdez, they could've prevented these spills by spending money on protections but they didn't and shit like this happens (exxon disabled their spill alarms on the valdez to save $)

    Well you know Bush was a so called *oilman* and he made sure they made their money without any thought of safety to the oil industry. I hope with ALL that profit they can pay for the much needed safety regulations and clean up.

    the difference is that exxon broke the law mandating they use safety requirements whereas oil companies now just don't have to ... because we all know Corporations will always do the right thing and they are great because they provide jobs to so many people and they contribute so much in tax dollars to federal coffers ... :evil:
